A prominent telecommunications provider is actively seeking a qualified Trade Development Representative to join its team.

Job purpose

To prioritize store visits aimed at enhancing retailer awareness and improving SIM and Float performance, while ensuring optimal visibility and merchandising standards at the point of purchase for SOS and Trash agents.

Oversee core operational duties encompassing strategic planning, project execution, and team leadership to ensure alignment with organizational goals. Conduct regular performance evaluations, foster professional development opportunities, and promote a collaborative work environment that enhances productivity and innovation. Address cross-functional challenges by implementing data-driven solutions, optimizing processes, and maintaining compliance with industry regulations. Serve as a primary liaison between senior management, departments, and external stakeholders to facilitate seamless communication and alignment of objectives. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze trends, and recommend corrective actions to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Effectively oversee the identification, recruitment, and mapping of Agents, focusing specifically on mobile money outlets and high-traffic retail stores.

Visit assigned SOS and agents consistently, adhering strictly to pre-determined route plans and beat schedules to ensure full coverage and timely engagement.

Provide and oversee the distribution of all necessary business tools essential for seamless transactions at SSO and agent outlets. Additionally, conduct comprehensive training sessions to equip SOS and Trash Agents with the required processes, ensuring full operational readiness and adherence to established protocols.

Conduct anti-money laundering (AML) training initiatives and evaluate agents’ comprehension, while also instructing staff on the Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures as they pertain to the SIM Registration (SIM REG) framework.

Float and stock cover, along with sales monitoring, are critical responsibilities that include actively overseeing and rigorously enforcing the 1.5x stock rule for agents. Additionally, it is essential to confirm that Sales Support Officers (SOS) maintain sufficient stock of SIM cards for seamless new registration and activation processes.

Develop and uphold merchandising standards by ensuring the availability of merchandising materials at SSO and Agent outlets.
