Responsibilities for this position encompass a diverse array of duties, including:

Create an environment that ensures the safety and security of children, fostering a sense of comfort and well-being.

Each day, develop and implement engaging activities for the children in alignment with the established curriculum, detailed schemes of work, and structured lesson plans.

Offer a diverse range of materials and resources tailored for children to engage with, whether through structured learning activities or creative, imaginative play.

Provide instruction and oversight to students regarding the proper use and maintenance of equipment and materials, ensuring both safety and the prevention of damage or injury.

Design, implement, and oversee programs that foster holistic growth—including physical, cognitive, and social development—through engaging activities such as structured games, creative arts and crafts, interactive music sessions, and captivating storytelling.

Prepare indoor and outdoor environments, including materials, classrooms, and other spaces, to support engaging play, learning opportunities, and the development of motor skills, while ensuring all areas remain safe and secure.

Monitor each child’s developmental progress meticulously and compile detailed written evaluations, which are then communicated to the Principal via designated line managers and senior school leadership, as well as shared with parents for transparency and collaboration.

Maintain thorough documentation and regular reports detailing each child’s developmental milestones and progress.

Provide personalized and small-group instruction, tailoring educational approaches to accommodate the diverse academic needs and interests of students.

Welcome new students to the school community by warmly greeting them upon arrival and offering engaging activities tailored to their individual interests.

Implement and uphold behavioral guidelines, policies, and procedures to ensure a well-organized and disciplined student environment.

Participated in professional meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops to continuously enhance and uphold professional competence.

Assist with daily operational tasks, including facilitating nap time, managing bus loading and unloading, serving and overseeing meals, coordinating bathroom breaks, organizing playtime, and overseeing parent drop-off and pick-up procedures.

Maintain and periodically update professional records, including documentation of completed work, progress tracking, rubrics, and student portfolios.

Provide supervision for after-school clubs, either based on personal interest or as directed by management.

Engage in the development of character and the management of behavior.

The responsibilities specific to the role of Music Coach encompass the following key areas:

Deliver music instruction following the Nova Pioneer Instructional Model to ensure alignment with established requirements.

Oversee and coordinate all music-related activities and initiatives within the school program to ensure alignment with educational goals and institutional standards.

Develop comprehensive Schemes of Work and detailed lesson plans specifically for Music instruction.

Teach personalized lessons lasting 30 to 45 minutes, typically integrating general musicianship skills—including ear training and theory—with instrumental technique and interpretive approaches.

Collaborate with Learning Design and Music Specialists across other NP Primary School campuses to ensure consistent instruction and learning approaches in Music.

Establish engaging and age-appropriate themes for school musical productions and related programs to enhance student participation and creativity.

Prepare tailored lesson plans and comprehensive Schemes of Work for enrolled students, ensuring alignment with their academic needs and learning objectives.

Coordinate lesson schedules and register students for examinations.

Expand your expertise in materials and repertoire tailored to students at various stages of their musical growth.

Maintain open and regular communication with both the school and parents regarding students’ lesson plans and academic advancement.

Facilitate students’ readiness for upcoming performances, assessments, auditions, and competitive events.

About You

Skills and qualifications required for this role include a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as business administration, finance, or accounting, along with a minimum of three years of professional experience in a related discipline. A Bachelor’s degree in Music along with TSC certification is required.

A minimum of three years of professional teaching experience in the field of music is required.
