This six-month internship provides an immersive training experience designed to cultivate advanced skills in bid and tender preparation within a technology consulting setting. Interns will collaborate closely with seasoned bid managers to refine their expertise and contribute meaningfully to strategic projects.

The internship aims to provide practical exposure in crafting competitive bids, organizing tender documentation, assisting in proposal formulation, and gaining insight into comprehensive IT solution delivery frameworks. Upon completion of the program, interns will be equipped to facilitate full bid cycles and actively contribute to tendering and proposal development initiatives for ICT projects.

The incumbent will report directly to the designated Bid/Tender Manager, who will serve as the intern’s supervisor and mentor throughout the duration of the program.

Duration

This internship has a duration of six months.

For the initial three-month period, participants will engage in rigorous training focused on bid preparation, proposal composition, and adherence to tender compliance regulations and documentation protocols. Throughout this time, interns will be subject to ongoing evaluations to gauge their proficiency in bid procedures and the formulation of proposals.

For the final three months, you will actively participate in live tender processes and proposal assignments, working under the direct supervision of the Bid Manager.

Top-performing interns may be offered full-time positions as Bid & Tender Assistants or Pre-Sales Support Officers at Green Com.

Responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify project objectives and deliverables, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and deadlines. This position requires overseeing daily operations, conducting performance evaluations, and implementing process improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency. Additionally, the role entails managing stakeholder relationships, addressing concerns proactively, and maintaining open communication channels to foster a collaborative work environment. Candidates must possess strong analytical skills to interpret data, assess risks, and develop strategic solutions tailored to business needs.

Assist in compiling tender documents, proposals, pre-qualification responses, and related supporting materials.

Work collaboratively with bid managers, project teams, and associate consultants to collect technical, financial, and administrative data required for tender submissions.

Attend all preliminary meetings and evaluations associated with the tendering process, proposal development, and compliance documentation preparation.

Ensure all bid content is accurate, complete, and fully compliant with client requirements and tender specifications.

Assist in the preparation and refinement of technical and financial schedules with guidance from senior staff.

To develop a comprehensive grasp of Green Com’s business solutions, services, and value propositions, enabling effective support in proposal writing.

Contribute to internal innovation initiatives focused on enhancing the efficiency and quality of bidding processes.

Handle all supplementary assignments related to current tender and pre-sales initiatives as directed.
