Job Description

Efficiently clean and maintain guest rooms, storage areas, and corridors in compliance with hotel cleanliness standards and brand expectations. Responsibilities include sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming and shampooing carpets, cleaning curtains and upholstered furniture, as well as dusting and polishing furniture, fixtures, and fittings.

Maintain impeccable bed-making standards and guest room presentation, with a strong emphasis on precision in room setup.

Perform a thorough self-assessment of each assigned room to verify that all cleaning duties have been executed to the highest possible standard and promptly address any required touch-ups before declaring the room ready for occupancy.

Ensure that guest amenities, linens, and supplies, as well as advertising materials, are consistently replenished to meet the specified standards for each room type.

Remove all waste materials and refuse from guest rooms and communal spaces, then empty the trash receptacles and transport the contents to designated waste disposal locations for collection.

Ensure that any maintenance concerns, damaged property, or missing amenities are promptly communicated to the Housekeeping Supervisor.

Provide support in the daily assignment of guest accommodations.

Any instances of misplaced property must be reported in strict adherence to established protocols.

Execute assigned deep cleaning assignments and specialized housekeeping projects with precision and thoroughness.

Maintain adherence to established hotel protocols when managing guest laundry services.

Conduct routine inventories of equipment to maintain accurate records and track usage levels.

Maintain the safety and security of all keys and guest rooms consistently by rigorously following established security protocols.

Any suspicious individuals or objects must be reported immediately to the Supervisor.

Adhere strictly to established health, safety, and hygiene guidelines, ensuring proper handling and application of cleaning chemicals as well as correct usage of personal protective equipment (PPE).

We seek applicants with a bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field, along with at least five years of professional experience in a similar role. Strong analytical skills, exceptional communication abilities, and proficiency in industry-standard software are essential. Candidates must demonstrate leadership experience and a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget. Familiarity with regulatory compliance and ability to work in a fast-paced environment are also required.

A qualification in Hospitality or a related field, such as a Certificate or Diploma, is advantageous.

Household or hospitality cleaning experience in lodging establishments is highly desirable.

Proficient understanding of cleaning and hygiene protocols is required.

Demonstrates exceptional precision and meticulous organization in all tasks performed.

Demonstrates strong self-management skills while effectively collaborating with colleagues to achieve shared objectives.

Effective interpersonal communication abilities coupled with a constructive and enthusiastic approach are essential.

Accommodates varied scheduling needs, including shift work, weekends, and public holidays.
