Job Summary

Our client, a leading name in the hospitality sector, is actively recruiting a diligent and committed Kitchen Steward to reinforce their back-of-house operations. The successful candidate will uphold stringent cleanliness and sanitation protocols throughout the kitchen, manage dishwashing duties, sanitize kitchen equipment, oversee waste disposal, and strictly adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations in a dynamic five-star hospitality setting. This position demands a highly organized, physically capable, and detail-focused individual with the ability to thrive in a high-standard, fast-paced hospitality environment.

Oversee and execute core duties encompassing strategic planning, operational management, and performance optimization to ensure alignment with organizational objectives. Lead cross-functional teams to drive project execution, foster collaboration, and maintain high standards of accountability. Analyze data, identify trends, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity. Serve as a liaison between senior leadership and departmental teams to facilitate clear communication and streamline workflows. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess progress, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with established policies and industry regulations. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to support data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Promptly and efficiently wash and sanitize all dishes, utensils, glassware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to maintain high hygiene standards.

Ensure the kitchen floors, walls, workstations, storage areas, and food preparation zones are consistently maintained in a clean and sanitary condition.

Responsible for maintaining the correct handling, storage, and organization of all kitchen equipment and supplies to uphold operational efficiency and safety standards.

Assist chefs and kitchen personnel as needed with foundational food prep and operational duties to ensure seamless kitchen workflow.

Responsibilities include the proper disposal of waste materials while adhering to established hygiene and safety protocols.

Maintain cleanliness and proper upkeep of garbage collection areas at all times.

Ensure cleaning supplies are consistently replenished and promptly notify supervisors whenever stock levels fall below required thresholds.

Operate dishwashing and other sanitation equipment with precision and adherence to safety protocols to ensure optimal cleanliness and operational efficiency.

Adhere strictly to all food safety, health, sanitation, and workplace safety regulations to ensure a secure and compliant work environment.

Provide support in upholding cleanliness standards throughout conferences, banquets, and large-scale events.

Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation consistent with five-star hospitality protocols.

Respond to cleaning requests from kitchen and food & beverage teams in a timely manner.

Ensure thorough implementation of deep cleaning schedules and perform regular kitchen maintenance tasks to uphold optimal hygiene and operational efficiency.

We seek a candidate with a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least three years of experience in a similar role. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is essential, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, are required to effectively collaborate with teams and stakeholders. Additionally, the ideal candidate will demonstrate a keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results under tight deadlines.

A hospitality diploma or certificate is required for this position.

A qualification in Food Production, Hospitality, or a closely related discipline represents a valuable asset.

A minimum of one to two years of hands-on experience as a Kitchen Steward in a hotel, restaurant, or hospitality setting is essential.

Preferred candidates will possess substantial experience in high-volume or luxury hospitality environments.

Proficiency in food safety protocols, hygiene practices, and sanitation standards is required.

Proficient in the safe handling and application of cleaning chemicals and equipment is required.

Capable of maintaining physical fitness and enduring extended periods of standing throughout the workday.

Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment while maintaining clear and professional communication channels.

Must demonstrate flexibility to work various shifts, encompassing weekends and holidays as required.
