Role Summary
The ideal candidate will instruct Physics within the IB MYP and DP frameworks while fostering a collaborative environment within the Science Department to provide dynamic, rigorous, and student-focused educational opportunities.

Develop and execute rigorous physics lessons in strict accordance with the IB MYP and DP standards, maintaining alignment with subject-specific goals, evaluation benchmarks, and inquiry-driven instructional methodologies.
Design and create compelling educational activities—such as hands-on investigations and experiments—that foster students’ grasp of key concepts, enhance their problem-solving abilities, and cultivate scientific reasoning.
Develop, oversee, and facilitate both formative and summative assessments in strict alignment with IB guidelines, while delivering prompt and actionable feedback to enhance student learning outcomes and academic success.
Employ differentiated instructional methodologies to address the varied academic requirements of students within a multicultural, international educational setting.
Create an environment in the classroom that is safe, inclusive, and stimulating, fostering student well-being, curiosity, and a passion for learning.
Maintain professional and clear communication with students, parents, and colleagues to foster collaborative and productive relationships that enhance student learning.
Play a pivotal role in shaping co-curricular programs, school-led initiatives, and enrichment activities designed to foster the well-rounded growth of students.

The position necessitates a minimum of five years of relevant professional experience, with a proven track record of successfully leading projects from inception to completion. Candidates must possess exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is required, along with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. A bachelor’s degree in a related field is mandatory, and advanced certification or specialized training is highly desirable. Additionally, the role demands excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
Qualifications and Experience:
Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology, with a minimum of five years of professional experience in software development, system architecture, or a related discipline. Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python, or C++ is required, along with expertise in database management, cloud computing, and DevOps practices. Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams are essential. Familiarity with Agile methodologies, version control systems, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines is highly desirable.
A recognized university must confer a Bachelor’s degree in either Physics or Physics Education.
A Master’s degree is preferred.
A minimum of five years of secondary physics instruction experience, ideally within an international curriculum framework, is required.
Proficiency in instructing IB MYP and/or DP Physics is highly advantageous.
Proven expertise in delivering instruction within a diverse, multicultural, and internationally minded educational setting is essential, alongside a robust grasp of student-centered, inquiry-driven teaching methods and assessment strategies that meet global academic standards.
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) registration must be obtained as a prerequisite for this position.
