THE ROLE
As Sous Chef, you will serve as the driving force behind our kitchens in Nairobi. Reporting directly to the Head Chef, this position demands active leadership—overseeing daily kitchen operations, upholding the high food standards our guests rely on, and fostering the growth of your team.
You will operate across various branches, ensuring uniformity is paramount at all times. From the initial service of the day to the final shift, the established standards remain unwavering—and so does your commitment to maintaining them.
WHAT YOU’LL OWN
Ensure consistent food quality and presentation standards across all company locations, delivering the same exceptional taste and visual appeal with every service, without exception.
Cost and waste management involves strict oversight of food expenses, minimizing unnecessary expenditure, and ensuring efficient stock rotation practices.
You oversee all kitchen operations—managing prep schedules, duty rosters, supply coordination, and inventory control—to ensure seamless daily workflow.
Demonstrate strong leadership by training, inspiring, and nurturing kitchen team members while fostering a work culture rooted in pride and excellence. Conduct consistent check-ins to support growth and reinforce commitment to high standards.
You must strictly adhere to hygiene and compliance protocols as a top priority. This involves maintaining rigorous food safety standards, handling equipment properly, and ensuring the entire team is prepared to respond effectively in emergency situations.
Maintain a high standard of guest satisfaction by promptly responding to feedback, resolving issues before they escalate, and ensuring each guest departs with a positive experience.
