The Global Technical Lead (GTL) will spearhead the delivery of expert technical assistance for a multi-country initiative aimed at strengthening digital skills and employment prospects for young individuals with disabilities. Additionally, this key position will advocate for enhanced workplace and labor market disability inclusion across seven nations in East, West, and Southern Africa.
The GTL will align the program’s design and execution with Sight savers’ thematic and program strategies, spearheading the development of innovative, inclusive methodologies to foster systemic transformation and lasting, sustainable impact.
This is a full-time, on-site position requiring the successful candidate to work from the Sight savers office in either Abuja, Accra, Lusaka, or Nairobi, five days each week.
Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of projects to ensure alignment with organizational objectives, managing resources efficiently while maintaining strict adherence to timelines and budgets. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify key priorities, allocate tasks effectively, and foster a productive work environment that encourages innovation and problem-solving. Conduct regular performance assessments to monitor progress, address challenges proactively, and implement corrective measures to optimize outcomes. Serving as a senior representative for Sight savers, you will leverage your expertise in digital inclusion and the digital economy to engage with national, regional, and international networks, conferences, and sector platforms.
The position may require travel for up to 12 weeks annually.
