An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Kenya Crop Protection Commercial Function, seeking a highly skilled professional with both technical and commercial expertise to assume a pivotal position in driving strategic key account management for our Large Scale customer segment and accelerating business growth. This role offers the chance to:

Develop and maintain Tangent’s highest-value customer relationships by fostering long-term value creation and cultivating strategic partnerships.

Responsibilities include nurturing relationships with current clients while actively identifying and capitalizing on fresh business prospects within the expansive customer segment.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

To meet and exceed established commercial objectives, the successful candidate will drive revenue growth, expand market share, and optimize profitability through strategic planning and execution. This role requires a proven track record of meeting sales targets, a deep understanding of market dynamics, and the ability to develop and implement effective business strategies. Key responsibilities include identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Deliver consistent success by fulfilling and surpassing the mutually agreed and formally documented sales targets for your designated territory.

Formulate and implement tailored business strategies for each customer, ensuring predetermined targets for volume, value, and margin are met.

Negotiate mutually beneficial commercial terms, pricing structures, and promotional investments to enhance overall value creation for all parties involved.

Oversee credit exposure and payment terms to ensure alignment with established organizational policies and procedures.

Oversee distributor accounts to maintain zero Bad & Doubtful Debt Provision (BDDP) at the end of each fiscal year.

Accurately forecast demand and oversee inventory planning in collaboration with key accounts.

Deliver structured customer engagement and opportunity management by leveraging digital analytics, Salesforce, Dropwise, and other CRM systems effectively.

Devise and implement strategic Channel Plans for the designated territory, aimed at fostering sustainable expansion and enhancing profitability.

Develop and oversee complete market strategies from start to finish, encompassing marketing campaigns, sales enablement initiatives, and technical support, while fostering collaboration with supply chain and customer operations teams to ensure cohesive execution.

Proactively uncover and evaluate market trends while overseeing business risks and opportunities across key accounts by systematically analyzing market conditions, competitive environments, and customer financial stability.

Craft comprehensive strategies to mitigate commercial risks while leveraging growth opportunities to safeguard and enhance organizational value.

Seeking a candidate with a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, along with at least three years of professional experience in a comparable role.
