The Manager will spearhead the agribusiness division, advancing the bank’s commitment to fostering sustainable agricultural growth throughout Kenya. This position entails overseeing a varied portfolio encompassing smallholder farmers, dairy cooperatives, Arises, and climate-smart agriculture initiatives. The role demands strategic direction, product innovation, risk mitigation, and stakeholder collaboration to amplify the bank’s influence in the agricultural sector.

Oversee and execute critical duties encompassing strategic planning, operational coordination, and team leadership to ensure organizational objectives are met efficiently. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to streamline processes, enhance productivity, and drive sustainable growth. Monitor performance metrics, analyze data trends, and implement corrective measures as needed to maintain high standards of quality and compliance. Serve as a primary liaison between departments, stakeholders, and senior management to align initiatives with overarching business goals. Mentor and develop team members through targeted coaching, feedback, and professional development opportunities to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Provide strategic direction by designing and implementing the bank’s agribusiness strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and prevailing market conditions.

Seeking candidates with a minimum of three years of hands-on experience in a relevant field, complemented by a Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline. The ideal applicant will possess strong analytical skills, proficiency in industry-standard software, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. A Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Agribusiness, Finance, or a closely related discipline is required.

A master’s degree is highly desirable.

A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in banking or financial services is required, including at least 5 years specifically focused on agribusiness financing or related fields.
