Prepare and oversee precise, up-to-date accounting records and financial transactions on a daily basis.
Responsible for managing and documenting accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
Compile and enter journal entries into the accounting system accurately and in a timely manner.
Oversee and keep the general ledger accounts current by recording and reconciling financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established accounting principles. Regularly review and adjust entries to reflect the most up-to-date financial data, while verifying the integrity of account balances and supporting documentation.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports by gathering, analyzing, and consolidating financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance with established accounting standards.
Assist in the compilation and review of managerial accounting reports and statutory financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with established accounting standards.
Maintain accurate and organized filing and documentation of financial records to ensure compliance and accessibility.
Prepare and compile statutory returns and tax documentation as required.
Ensure adherence to Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) mandates as well as other applicable regulatory standards.
Ensure meticulous documentation is maintained to facilitate audits and uphold compliance standards.
Conduct comprehensive bank and vendor statement reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
Conduct thorough analyses to identify and rectify inconsistencies within financial documentation.
Support the establishment and enforcement of internal financial controls and procedures.
Facilitate payroll operations by managing salary calculations, deductions, and benefits administration.
Responsible for maintaining precise and confidential payroll documentation at all times.
Track and oversee inventory transactions and stock movements diligently to ensure accuracy and efficiency in the supply chain process.
Cross-check physical inventory counts with database entries to identify discrepancies and ensure alignment between actual stock and recorded data.
Conduct inventory audits and investigate discrepancies to ensure accurate stock records and operational efficiency.
Provide support in the computation of Cost of Goods Sold (COGS).
Collaborate effectively with logistics and operations personnel to ensure precise inventory management.
Seeking a candidate with a minimum of five years of relevant experience in a similar role, along with a bachelor’s degree in a related field. Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, exceptional communication skills, and the capacity to work effectively both independently and collaboratively. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is essential, as is the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of applicable regulations and compliance standards is required, along with a commitment to maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail. Prior leadership or project management experience is highly desirable.
A qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a comparable business discipline is required.
Preferred candidates should possess a CPA qualification, with a strong preference for those who have successfully completed CPA Part II or higher.
Seeking candidates with at least one to two years of hands-on experience in accounting, bookkeeping, inventory control, or finance-related positions.
Proficiency in retail, wholesale, distribution, e-commerce, or inventory-focused operations is strongly preferred.
Seeking a candidate with demonstrated experience in accounting software and ERP systems, including QuickBooks, Odoo, Zoho Books, Sage, or comparable solutions.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel with expertise in functions such as Pivot Tables, Lookups, and advanced data analysis tools.
Proficient in using retail point-of-sale systems and inventory management software is required.
Proficiency in inventory accounting and stock control methodologies is required.
