Mission Description

To maintain the dependable functionality, upkeep, and restoration of diesel generator sets (genets), ensuring a continuous power supply for operational facilities, equipment, and vital systems.

Perform scheduled maintenance tasks to ensure equipment and systems operate efficiently and reliably. Conduct routine inspections, lubrication, cleaning, and adjustments as needed to prevent unexpected failures. Monitor performance metrics and identify potential issues before they escalate. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and service history. Follow established safety protocols and compliance standards during all maintenance procedures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate maintenance schedules and address operational needs. Ensure adherence to manufacturer guidelines and industry best practices for equipment upkeep.

Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on generator sets in strict accordance with manufacturer-established guidelines.

Conduct thorough inspections of oil levels, filters, fuel systems, and electrical connections to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Ensure meticulous documentation of maintenance activities and service histories in accordance with established protocols.

Performs corrective maintenance to restore equipment and systems to optimal operational condition, addressing failures, malfunctions, or deviations from performance standards. Diagnoses issues using diagnostic tools, technical manuals, and troubleshooting techniques to identify root causes efficiently. Executes repairs, replacements, or adjustments as needed, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and manufacturer specifications. Maintains detailed records of maintenance activities, including actions taken, parts used, and outcomes achieved, to support future reference and compliance reporting. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to minimize downtime and restore functionality promptly, prioritizing critical issues based on impact and urgency.

Diagnose faults and perform repairs on mechanical, electrical, and control systems to ensure optimal functionality and safety.

Respond immediately to equipment failures to reduce operational interruptions.

Inspect and restore malfunctioning components to optimal working condition, verifying seamless operation post-repair.

The Installation & Commissioning team is responsible for the meticulous setup, configuration, and activation of systems, ensuring they meet operational standards and function reliably. This role involves executing detailed installation procedures, performing comprehensive system tests, and verifying compliance with technical specifications. Candidates must possess hands-on experience in installation processes, a strong understanding of system integration, and the ability to troubleshoot effectively during commissioning. Prior familiarity with relevant industry standards, safety protocols, and quality assurance measures is essential. The position demands meticulous attention to detail, effective problem-solving skills, and the capacity to work collaboratively in dynamic environments to deliver seamless system deployment.

Provide support during the installation and commissioning phases of new generator systems.

Conduct load testing and system evaluations to verify operational preparedness.

Responsible for overseeing performance metrics and compiling detailed data to generate insightful reports. Tracks key indicators, identifies trends, and ensures accurate documentation to support decision-making processes. Collaborates with stakeholders to deliver timely updates and actionable insights based on analytical findings.

Monitor key performance indicators of the Genet, including voltage, frequency, and load levels, to ensure optimal operation and reliability.

Identify recurring issues systematically and propose appropriate solutions to rectify them.

Prepare comprehensive daily and monthly reports detailing generator performance metrics.

Ensures adherence to safety protocols and regulatory standards to uphold workplace integrity. Monitors compliance with industry-specific laws and internal policies, identifying potential risks and implementing corrective measures. Conducts regular audits and inspections to verify adherence to safety guidelines, documenting findings and reporting discrepancies. Collaborates with management to develop and enforce safety policies, providing training to employees on compliance requirements. Maintains accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, and corrective actions to support continuous improvement efforts.

Ensure strict compliance with all established safety protocols and environmental compliance standards at all times.

Ensure the correct management and disposal procedures for fuels and lubricants are followed.

Uphold adherence to the organization’s Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures at all times.

The role involves overseeing the organization, tracking, and maintenance of inventory and tools to ensure operational efficiency and readiness. Responsibilities include conducting regular audits, managing stock levels, and ensuring tools are properly stored and maintained. Additionally, the position requires coordinating with procurement teams to replenish supplies as needed and maintaining accurate records of inventory movements. Strong attention to detail, proficiency in inventory management software, and the ability to work systematically are essential. Effective communication skills and collaboration with cross-functional teams are also necessary to support seamless workflows and minimize downtime.

Oversee the inventory of spare parts and ensure timely initiation of replenishment orders when necessary.

Maintain and utilize workshop tools and equipment in accordance with established standards to ensure optimal functionality and safety.

Profile

Holders of a Diploma or Certificate in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering are encouraged to apply.

A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in the maintenance and repair of generators is required.

Proficiency in diesel engine operations and electrical system management is required.

Familiarity with generator brands such as Perkins, Cummins, and CAT is considered beneficial.
