Revise and preserve utility maps, schematics, and single-line diagrams to accurately represent current conditions or modifications derived from As-Built drawings within a 10-day window following receipt of notification or identification of changes.

Revise all updated maps to incorporate the necessary revision dates, guaranteeing adherence to governmental regulations and documented standards.

Ensure utility maps are consistently maintained in the format mandated by government standards while upholding the continuity of all deliverables.

Employers should harness NAV FAC ArcGIS software to construct, refine, and maintain utility system maps in GIS format while ensuring all data complies with the Data Collection Guide (DCG) and serves as the official utility mapping database.

Export utility system AutoCAD drawings from GIS datasets, maintaining precise formatting and ensuring usability.

Maintain and oversee features utilizing the most recent NAV FAC NDM release to ensure optimal functionality and alignment with current standards.

Ensure GIS data quality meets the specified standards set by NAV FAC and the NSF DG Utilities Department, while efficiently coordinating all relevant requirements.

Prepare and deliver current utility system maps, schematic drawings, and single-line diagrams promptly upon request to fulfill operational requirements without delay.

Please forward utility system maps, schematics, drawings, and any pertinent documentation to the Technical Library, ensuring adherence to Section F requirements.

Coordinate all mapping needs with the Naval Support Facility Diego Garcia Utilities Department to verify precision and adherence to established project standards.

Conduct ongoing quality assurance and control reviews of GIS data and utility maps to verify their accuracy, dependability, and adherence to governmental regulations.

Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience, along with at least three years of hands-on experience in the specified domain. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, along with proficiency in industry-standard software tools. Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, are required to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders. The ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines is critical. Familiarity with project management methodologies and compliance standards is advantageous, as is a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Seeking candidates with 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in GIS mapping, utility mapping, or comparable technical drafting roles.

Proficiency in the use and interpretation of utility system mapping and schematics is required, along with hands-on experience in this domain.

Preferred Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as computer science, engineering, or mathematics, coupled with at least three years of hands-on experience in software development or a closely related discipline. Familiarity with programming languages like Python, Java, or C++ is essential, along with expertise in software design principles and methodologies. Experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and proficiency in DevOps practices and tools, including Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines, are highly desirable. Preferred candidates should possess prior experience in an austere OCO NUS (Outside the Continental United States) setting, ideally within a multinational team environment.

Possession of a valid driver’s license and passport issued by the respective country is required.

Obtaining and maintaining the necessary country visa, as mandated by the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide when applicable, is essential.

Intermediate to advanced proficiency in NAV FAC GIS, AutoCAD, and NDM software versions, with the ability to perform map exports.

Extensive background coordinating Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and mapping specifications with a Utilities Department or comparable military/government sector is essential.

Proficient in adhering to NAV FAC standards governing utility mapping and the submission of diagrams.

Exceptional problem-solving abilities, coupled with the capacity to operate autonomously under demanding conditions, are essential.
