Job Purpose

This role involves supervising all aspects of kitchen operations, developing and implementing premium menus, and fostering a positive, motivated, and productive work environment. The position guarantees adherence to the highest standards in food quality, presentation, and safety while supervising kitchen personnel and delivering outstanding guest experiences. Additionally, the role includes managing food inventory efficiently and ensuring compliance with established food cost targets.

Oversee a range of critical responsibilities and tasks integral to the role, ensuring seamless execution of core functions. Develop and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency while maintaining alignment with organizational objectives. Monitor progress, evaluate outcomes, and provide data-driven insights to support informed decision-making. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster innovation and achieve departmental goals. Serve as a primary point of contact for stakeholders, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly. Ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, and industry regulations to uphold organizational integrity.

Design, conceptualize, and implement inventive and appealing menu offerings in alignment with the facility’s cost margin parameters while prioritizing client preferences and expectations.

Kitchen operations management entails supervising daily kitchen functions to maintain seamless and efficient service delivery. It is essential to guarantee that all food preparation, cooking, and presentation meet the highest standards of quality. Additionally, the role involves closely monitoring food preparation and cooking techniques to uphold consistency throughout operations.

Staff management and training responsibilities include supervising, mentoring, and training kitchen personnel to cultivate a highly skilled team. Scheduling is also managed to ensure adequate coverage during peak periods, as well as balancing staff time off and leave requests. Regular performance assessments are conducted, with constructive feedback provided to foster ongoing improvement.

Oversee the management of food and kitchen supply inventories, guaranteeing the availability of high-quality materials, appropriate storage conditions, proper stock rotation, and minimized waste. Maintain cost efficiency by optimizing ordering processes, enforcing portion control, and reducing unnecessary expenditures. Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation of inventory records.

Enforce rigorous compliance with food safety and sanitation protocols within the kitchen environment. Maintain strict observance of all food safety regulations mandated by local authorities to uphold regulatory standards.

Deliver exceptional food quality and presentation that consistently surpasses guest expectations. Act swiftly to resolve any guest feedback or concerns regarding food standards or service delivery.

We collaborate closely with the service team to uphold and enhance the overall guest experience. Additionally, we take part in budgeting processes and develop and execute strategies to achieve the financial objectives of the Guest House. We also work in partnership with sales and marketing to design and promote special events and initiatives.

Handle additional responsibilities as directed by management on an as-needed basis.

Seeking candidates with a proven track record in a related field, demonstrating at least three years of hands-on experience. Applicants must possess strong analytical skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results. Familiarity with industry-standard software and tools is essential, along with excellent communication abilities to collaborate effectively within a team. A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline is preferred, though equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.

A culinary diploma is required for this position.

With a minimum of five years of experience in a fast-paced commercial kitchen environment.

Organizational acumen, a commitment to outstanding customer service, creative problem-solving, and strong interpersonal and leadership capabilities are essential.
