Job Purpose

Responsible for directing all kitchen operations, developing and implementing premium menus, and fostering a positive, energetic, and high-performing team environment. Guarantees adherence to the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and safety, while supervising kitchen personnel and delivering outstanding guest experiences. Menu creation and development entails designing, planning, and implementing inventive and fresh menu offerings while adhering to facility cost margin guidelines and incorporating client preferences.

Kitchen operations management requires overseeing the daily functions of the kitchen to maintain seamless and efficient service. It entails ensuring that all food preparation, cooking, and presentation meet the highest standards of quality. Additionally, the role involves monitoring food preparation and cooking techniques to guarantee consistency throughout.

Staff management and training entail overseeing, coaching, and mentoring kitchen personnel to cultivate a highly skilled workforce. Scheduling must be meticulously handled to guarantee adequate staffing during peak periods. Additionally, you will coordinate staff off-days and leave allocations to maintain operational efficiency. Regular performance assessments will be conducted, accompanied by actionable and constructive feedback to foster continuous improvement.

Manage inventory and control costs by overseeing food and kitchen supply levels, upholding standards for quality, proper storage, rotation, and waste minimization. Optimize food costs by implementing efficient ordering practices, enforcing portion control, and reducing waste. Ensure accurate and up-to-date inventory records are maintained at all times.

Ensure strict compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations within the kitchen environment. Maintain adherence to all local authority food safety directives at all times.

Provide an exceptional guest experience by consistently delivering food presentations and quality that surpass expectations. Respond to any guest feedback or concerns regarding food quality in a timely and professional manner.

Collaborate closely with the service team to uphold and enhance the overall guest experience. Engage in budgeting processes and develop and execute strategies to achieve the Guest House’s financial objectives. Work alongside sales and marketing to design and implement special events and promotional initiatives.

A minimum of three years of relevant industry experience is necessary for consideration. Candidates must possess a proven track record in a similar role, demonstrating expertise in key responsibilities. Additionally, familiarity with specific tools, methodologies, or frameworks relevant to the position is required. Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently are also essential.

Hold a culinary diploma from an accredited institution, demonstrating foundational expertise in food preparation, kitchen operations, and industry best practices.

With a minimum of five years of experience in a fast-paced commercial kitchen environment, you bring essential expertise to our team.
