Responsible for directing and supervising the daily operations of the Recycling team, encompassing tasks such as sorting mixed waste, plastics, glass, materials for pig feed, and operating baling equipment.
Responsible for overseeing and organizing attendance records, as well as coordinating staff planning initiatives.
To establish and enforce quality control protocols, ensuring sorted materials comply with both corporate and regulatory requirements.
Verify compliance with all established safety protocols and standard operating procedures at all times.
Oversee and refine sorting operations to achieve optimal efficiency while reducing downtime to the lowest possible levels.
Oversee the planning and deployment of forklifts to facilitate recycling operations efficiently.
Accurately document sorted materials, track equipment utilization, and evaluate staff performance to ensure comprehensive record-keeping.
Ensure strict adherence to health and safety protocols to uphold a secure and compliant workplace environment.
Compile and deliver weekly reports detailing performance metrics and other key OKR (Objectives and Key Results) data.
Submit petty cash requests and ensure timely follow-up on approvals and disbursements.
Oversee inventory levels of materials while collaborating with the logistics team to ensure prompt removal and transportation.
Perform systematic reviews and evaluations of equipment on a consistent basis.
Regularly generate and file comprehensive reports detailing plant operations, focusing on key metrics such as productivity, efficiency, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (ONE).
Design and deploy process control systems to maintain and optimize operational efficiency.
Collaborate closely with the engineering team to design and install new equipment.
Utilize data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions and drive process improvements.
Conduct comprehensive market research to explore potential applications and opportunities associated with both existing and new machinery.
Develop innovative strategies to repurpose underutilized material streams both within the organization and across the broader market.
Minimum Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Computer Science, or Business Administration, along with at least three years of professional experience in a related discipline. Proficiency in industry-standard software tools and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are essential. Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the capability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Familiarity with project management methodologies and prior leadership experience are considered advantageous. Additional requirements may include certifications or specialized training pertinent to the role.
A diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a closely related discipline is required.
Requires at least three to five years of leadership experience in a manufacturing or processing environment.
