About the role
Strath more School is in search of an enthusiastic and skilled educator to fill a Mathematics and Science & Technology teaching position within its Lower Primary division. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering Mathematics instruction as the core subject, while also instructing Science and Technology to students in Grades 1 through 3.
We seek an individual with deep subject-matter expertise and a sincere passion for engaging with young learners, coupled with the skills to craft and deliver dynamic, developmentally suitable lessons.
Oversee a range of critical duties essential to the role, including the management of daily operations, coordination of team efforts, and execution of strategic initiatives to drive organizational success. Ensure adherence to industry standards and compliance with regulatory requirements while fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement, implement best practices, and achieve key performance targets. Maintain accurate records, prepare comprehensive reports, and communicate progress to stakeholders in a timely and transparent manner. Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external partners, addressing inquiries and resolving issues efficiently to support seamless business continuity.
Develop and execute engaging, high-quality lessons in Mathematics and Science & Technology tailored specifically for learners in Grades 1 through 3.
Develop and execute educational initiatives that align with the Competency Based Curriculum (CBC).
Evaluate learners’ advancement on a continuous basis, offering prompt feedback to facilitate their development.
Ensure precise documentation of learner attendance, performance metrics, and developmental progress throughout their engagement.
Foster an encouraging, welcoming, and intellectually engaging classroom atmosphere that supports diversity and promotes active learning.
Partner with staff, families, and school administrators to enhance student wellness and academic success.
Engage in a variety of school events, attend staff meetings, and take advantage of professional development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Highly qualified candidates must possess a relevant academic degree and a minimum of three years of hands-on experience in a closely related field. Proficiency in industry-standard tools, methodologies, and compliance regulations is required, along with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. The role demands meticulous attention to detail, the ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team, and a commitment to upholding organizational policies and ethical standards. Prior experience in project coordination, stakeholder management, or a supervisory capacity is strongly preferred.
A teaching qualification with Mathematics designated as the primary area of specialization is required.
Possession of a valid Teachers Service Commission registration or eligibility for registration is required.
Demonstrates exceptional proficiency in clear, concise written and verbal communication, ensuring effective exchange of ideas and information.

Desirable
Candidates must possess prior teaching experience specifically within the Lower Primary level, covering Grade 1 through Grade 3.
Proficient in applying the Competency Based Curriculum (CBC) framework effectively.
