Oversee and execute a range of routine tasks and key responsibilities, ensuring adherence to established protocols and standards. Deliver comprehensive technical support for all hospital electrical systems and equipment as directed, encompassing both routine maintenance tasks and urgent, unscheduled repairs.
Record all electrical activities and test results in compliance with established departmental procedures.
Respond to user department requests for Breakdown Maintenance (BDM) promptly, adhering to established policies and procedures.
Ensure the timely completion of all Preventive Maintenance (PPM) tasks specifically designated for electrical systems and equipment.
Act as an intermediary between user departments and coordinate maintenance activities while escalating any arising issues to the supervisor.
Perform recurring duties and responsibilities on a regular basis.
Coordinate and/or engage in initiatives for special projects, including the acquisition and planning of new systems or equipment, as well as the creation of bid specifications.
Formulate Preventative Maintenance schedules and guidelines in collaboration with the electrical supervisor.
Design and implement comprehensive safety protocols and specialized in-service training programs tailored to specific equipment, ensuring that technicians and end-users are thoroughly educated on proper usage and maintenance.
Conduct incident investigations and analyze system and equipment performance as needed.
Prepare, assess, or refine emergency and safety protocols concerning the utilization and operation of electrical systems and equipment.
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in software development, with proficiency in Java, Python, or C++. Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures. Experience with Agile methodologies. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team. Must be able to communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders. Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is a plus.
A diploma in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Systems or an equivalent qualification is required.
A minimum of two years of relevant professional experience is required.
Computer knowledge will be an added advantage.
Proficient in the technical operation and maintenance of high-voltage/low-voltage distribution systems, switchgear, and control systems, as well as diesel generators, steam boilers, laundry equipment, and kitchen facilities.
Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal communication abilities, maintains a strong commitment to integrity, and exhibits unwavering reliability. Possesses highly developed analytical and organizational capabilities to effectively manage tasks and responsibilities.
