This senior position oversees the seamless and successful execution of a varied collection of programs, providing leadership to a cross-functional team while fostering strong collaborations with international partners and advancing research excellence. Key responsibilities involve overseeing and executing a range of critical tasks to ensure operational efficiency and project success. Demonstrate leadership by serving as the primary liaison between LSTM and government entities, funders, research collaborators, and regional and international stakeholders.

Serve as the primary operational liaison, engaging with both internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless collaboration and communication.

Design and establish program Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) alongside comprehensive performance frameworks to systematically measure, track, and evaluate program outcomes and progress.

Facilitate the establishment and optimization of organizational frameworks, workforce strategies, and governance mechanisms to enhance operational efficiency and alignment with strategic objectives.

Guarantee adherence to all applicable regulatory standards, ethical guidelines, and data governance protocols to maintain organizational integrity and legal compliance.

Convene and facilitate project meetings, while actively participating in steering committee discussions to provide strategic direction and ensure alignment with project objectives.

Responsibilities include managing the financial aspects of research grants, facilitating budgeting processes, conducting financial forecasting, and ensuring accurate financial reporting.

Develop and integrate uniform program management standards, methodologies, and procedures across LSTM Kenya to ensure consistency and efficiency.

Supervise project schedules to ensure timely delivery, adherence to quality standards, and adherence to budget constraints.

Ensure strict adherence to donor stipulations and maintain audit preparedness at all times.

You should exhibit proficiency in effectively demonstrating the following key competencies and qualifications.

Educated to the master’s degree level or possessing extensive equivalent experience within the sector is required.

Seasoned experts in program and project management with comprehensive professional training are sought after.

Professionals should possess extensive expertise in overseeing expansive research initiatives, including those involving multiple partners or spanning international boundaries, within the health research sector.

Skilled in overseeing the administrative aspects of clinical trials and research initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and operational protocols.

Proven expertise in quality assurance methodologies applied across diverse project portfolios is essential.

Professionals with experience conducting health research in Kenya or analogous environments will find this opportunity particularly suitable.
