The successful candidates will serve primarily as permanent, pensionable teaching staff while assuming the role of Dean of School on a renewable three-year contract basis. Reporting directly to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Academics, Research, and Student Affairs, their responsibilities will encompass:

Manages and executes a range of critical tasks and obligations, ensuring adherence to established protocols and standards. Responsible for overseeing daily operations, maintaining accurate records, and facilitating seamless workflows to support organizational objectives. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency, resolve challenges, and uphold compliance with industry regulations. Acts as a key liaison to communicate updates, streamline processes, and ensure alignment with strategic goals. Demonstrates proficiency in relevant tools and methodologies to enhance productivity and deliver measurable results.

Develop and implement strategic initiatives to guide the School’s future direction, ensuring alignment with long-term goals and institutional objectives.

Overseeing instructional delivery and assessment processes, you will ensure courses are taught punctually, comprehensively, and in accordance with established standards while maintaining the integrity of examinations.

Responsible for monitoring and tracking student and staff attendance within classes.

Responsible for strategically planning, allocating, and managing resources—both human and physical—to ensure optimal utilization and efficiency.

Sustaining the institution’s viability hinges on key metrics such as student retention, cohort completion, academic progression rates, and continuous expansion of the student body.

Spearheading pioneering research initiatives and fostering a culture of innovation within the School.

Driving and motivating the grant and proposal development activities within the School.

Forging and overseeing strategic alliances, partnerships, and collaborative relationships within the industry.

Driving the School’s global expansion initiatives, encompassing diversified academic programs, a multicultural student body, and enhanced international engagement for students and staff via exchange programs.

Providing outstanding customer service to students and staff, this role involves addressing and resolving their concerns promptly and effectively.

People management, including management of their performance, work attendance, leave, and discipline.

Overseeing programme development and review, ensuring programmes offered are reflective of market needs and the growth plans of the School.

Ensuring compliance with established University policies through consistent application and enforcement across all relevant departments and operations.

Developing and executing initiatives aimed at enhancing graduate employability on an ongoing basis.

Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor when necessary.

Seeking a highly qualified professional with extensive experience in the field. Candidates must possess the necessary credentials and a proven track record of success in relevant roles. Prior experience in similar positions is essential, along with specialized skills and expertise to meet the demands of the role. Strong educational background and relevant certifications are required to ensure competency and proficiency.

A relevant PhD, master’s, or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Engineering, Educational Technology, or a related field from an accredited and recognized university is required.

A minimum of three years of higher education teaching or research experience, specifically in the capacity of a Lecturer or Research Fellow, is required.

Demonstrates a documented history of scholarly contributions through prior roles as a Lecturer or Research Fellow, as evidenced by published works.

Seeking candidates with proven leadership and administrative expertise. Strong preference will be given to applicants who have served in roles such as Head or Chair of Department, program leader, postgraduate coordinator, or similar managerial positions.

Oversaw the successful completion of a minimum of two postgraduate students.

Secured funding for research initiatives in the capacity of a Lecturer or Research Fellow.

Has demonstrated participation in and contributions to academic conferences, seminars, or workshops.

Actively contributes to the university community by engaging in departmental and school initiatives, participating in meetings, providing academic guidance to students, and serving on committees, among other responsibilities.

Professional affiliation with an appropriate industry organization is required.
