Job Purpose: This position is designed to fulfill a pivotal role within the organization, focusing on achieving strategic objectives and driving operational excellence. The successful incumbent will serve as a key contributor to the company’s growth by ensuring alignment with corporate goals while upholding high standards of professionalism and accountability.

To achieve the established annual premium targets, we aim to expand our medical insurance business, driving growth through strategic initiatives and market opportunities.

Key duties include overseeing daily operations, ensuring adherence to company policies, and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive project completion, managing stakeholder communications, and implementing strategic initiatives to support organizational goals. The position requires strong leadership, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to mentor team members while fostering a productive and inclusive work environment.

Develop and secure new business opportunities across all channels, either independently or through intermediary partnerships.

Deliver consistently outstanding customer service to intermediaries and clients at all times.

Deliver comprehensive support to established client accounts, ensuring seamless operations and sustained satisfaction.

Consistently monitor and ensure the timely renewal of medical insurance policies within the business portfolio.

Submit all proposal forms and KYC documents to the underwriting department for processing.

Maintain adherence to the established credit control policy by ensuring premiums are collected in a timely manner.

Compile and submit weekly reports in accordance with BDM Corporate Health guidelines.

Perform preliminary underwriting evaluations in alignment with established guidelines to validate the acceptability of risk.

Handle all incoming customer and client inquiries promptly and professionally, ensuring accurate and timely responses to address their needs effectively.

As authorized by the Delegated Authority Matrix, this position is empowered to make decisions within the predefined scope of authority.

Execute additional responsibilities as assigned, ensuring alignment with evolving organizational priorities.

The essential qualifications, skills, and professional background required for this role include:

A bachelor’s degree in actuarial science or a closely related business discipline is required.

Professional certification in Insurance (ACID, INK), or ongoing pursuit of an Insurance qualification, is required.

3–5 years of hands-on experience within the insurance sector.
