As a member of our drilling team, your primary duties will involve ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently. Your role will require you to be highly skilled in drilling techniques and have experience working on oil rigs or other similar platforms. You must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with others in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, you should have a strong attention to detail and be able to troubleshoot any issues that may arise during drilling operations. Finally, you will need to adhere strictly to all safety protocols and regulations at all times while on the job site.

Efficiently and securely managing the utilization of various tools including power tongs, lifts, clamps, spiders, torque-turn systems, and hydraulic power units in a skilled and responsible manner.

As part of your responsibilities as an Assistant Equipment Operator at our facility, you will assist in the setup and teardown of Transformational Receiver System (TRS) equipment. This may include tasks such as mounting or removing stabbing boards, setting up power units, and managing tubular handling tools. Throughout these processes, it is crucial to adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.

To guarantee harmonious and secure execution of tasks, it is essential to convey information skillfully amongst the drilling floor crew, clients, and any contracted staff members.

Prior to, throughout, and following operations, TRS equipment is subjected to routine inspections, minimal servicing, and fundamental problem resolution by the assigned personnel.

To guarantee strict adherence to all applicable health and safety guidelines, actively participate in regular risk assessment gatherings, and promptly report any identified risks or process-related concerns.

As directed by the Operations Coordinator, the successful candidate will be responsible for accurately completing job-related documents such as activity reports, ensuring that all necessary information is included and presented in a clear and organized manner. In addition to this task, the individual will also contribute to operational activities by providing support when required.

To excel in this position, one must possess the ability to:

Possess a comprehensive understanding of the oil and gas sector, along with relevant experience in either TRS or drilling-related fields.

Possess a high level of proficiency in mechanical operations and be adept at utilizing various types of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic instruments with utmost precision and safety standards.

Demonstrate proficiency in collaborating seamlessly with teams comprising rig crew members, supervisors, and clients amidst time-sensitive settings.

Possess a minimum of two years’ worth of technical education or an equivalent blend of technical instruction and practical expertise.

Possess a keen eye for detail and demonstrate exceptional proficiency in resolving complex issues through systematic analysis and critical thinking. Demonstrate competence in adhering to established protocols, performing comprehensive inspections, and ensuring the maintenance of optimal performance levels at all times.

Possess the capability to undertake both domestic and international projects while adapting to flexible working hours, such as those involving on-demand and rotation-based tasks.
