Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of duties and obligations integral to the role’s core functions. Lead key initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and maintaining adherence to established protocols. Serve as the primary point of accountability for critical tasks, driving efficiency and upholding high standards of performance. Collaborate cross-functionally to optimize processes, mitigate risks, and deliver measurable outcomes. Provide strategic guidance to stakeholders, fostering innovation while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal policies. Monitor progress, analyze performance metrics, and implement corrective actions to sustain continuous improvement.

Facilitate the seamless execution of activities within the EE&CC Pillar to ensure operational efficiency.

Evaluate potential areas of improvement that Equity Bank can capitalize on to achieve its energy efficiency, environmental sustainability, and climate action objectives.

The role involves establishing strategic partnerships within the industry to enhance portfolio stability and mitigate risk exposure.

Collaborate effectively in the implementation of initiatives managed jointly by the Social Impact department or Commercial sector in partnership with organizations focused on energy and environmental conservation.

Facilitate the successful implementation of initiatives collaboratively developed between the Social Impact department and Commercial units, in partnership with WASH organizations.

Support the pillar lead in coordinating and overseeing the Pillar’s projects across various sectors while ensuring alignment with the Bank’s strategic goal of fostering business expansion.

Collaborating with the pillar lead and Programs Manager, you will assist in crafting tailored project proposals and designing tracking mechanisms to ensure precise and timely impact monitoring reports.

Facilitate the establishment and strengthening of market, information, and financial linkages while actively supporting the development of business networks within the energy ecosystem.

Establishing and nurturing connections between energy partners and targeted sectors or individuals to enhance customer satisfaction through efficient service delivery.

Coordinate and engage in ESG-focused capacity-building initiatives tailored for equity staff, partners, and customers to enhance their knowledge and skills in sustainability and responsible practices.

Facilitate the optimization and sustained functionality of the EEC pillar to ensure its seamless integration and operational excellence.

Execute any additional duties as directed by the line manager.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required. Minimum of five years of progressive experience in a comparable role is essential. Proficiency in pertinent software applications and tools is necessary. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are critical. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment is a must. Strong organizational and time-management capabilities are expected.

We seek a candidate with a strong academic background, ideally holding a degree in a relevant field such as education, psychology, or a related discipline. Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree, though advanced degrees or certifications may be preferred for certain roles. The ideal applicant will possess a deep understanding of pedagogical principles, curriculum development, and student assessment methodologies. Experience in instructional design, classroom management, or educational leadership is highly valued. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for effectively engaging with students, parents, and colleagues. The ability to adapt to diverse learning environments and implement innovative teaching strategies is critical. Prior experience in curriculum planning, teacher training, or educational administration will be considered a significant advantage.

A bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Renewable Energy, Sustainable Energy, Climate Studies, Finance, Environmental Sciences, or a closely related discipline is required.
