Oversee daily operations and execute essential duties to ensure seamless workflow within the assigned department. Establish and activate cook stove production facilities while implementing rigorous testing, quality assurance measures, and adherence to regulatory standards. Strengthen both stove and alternative fuel supply chains, with a focus on optimizing last-mile distribution for seamless product delivery.

Drive the adoption of clean cooking solutions by implementing behavior change campaigns, conducting community sensitization efforts, and executing pilot demonstrations of various fuels and appliances to evaluate their performance, efficiency, affordability, and user acceptance.

Provide specialized technical training sessions tailored for artisans, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and refugee-owned businesses, covering key areas such as design principles, manufacturing processes, safety protocols, efficiency testing methodologies, and clean energy solutions—including alternative fuels and energy-efficient cooking technologies.

Deliver tailored business coaching and capacity-building initiatives for SMEs in refugee and host communities, perform detailed market and consumer evaluations, pinpoint productive energy utilization opportunities, and facilitate seamless integration of these opportunities into enterprise business models and funding frameworks.

Provide expert technical guidance on the implementation of Results-Based Reimbursement (RBR) mechanisms, facilitate enterprise compliance, and develop robust systems for capturing, validating, and reporting performance data in collaboration with the MEAL team.

Design and execute monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEAL) frameworks, while also overseeing socio-economic, gender, and affordability assessments through structured surveys. Additionally, facilitate the preparation of comprehensive reports for GIG and other donor partners to ensure transparency and accountability in project outcomes.

Develop and implement advanced digital data collection and monitoring systems, while spearheading pilot initiatives in digital innovation such as mobile payment solutions, smart metering systems, and remote monitoring applications. Additionally, strengthen partner capabilities in data utilization and reporting mechanisms to enhance overall efficiency and decision-making processes.

Deliver comprehensive technical assistance for environmental, gender, and social safeguards across all initiatives while ensuring strict adherence to relevant standards and requirements.

Capture and document key insights, innovations, and proven methodologies; develop insightful analytical reports and knowledge-sharing resources; and organize and lead educational forums, training sessions, and interactive workshops to enhance program learning, facilitate replication, and drive sustainable growth.

Essential Requirements

A master’s degree in Electrical/Energy Engineering or Mechanical/Environmental Engineering is required for this role.

A highly skilled professional holding a University Bachelor’s degree in Renewable Energy or a closely related field—such as ICS, Solar for DUE, Mini Grids, alternative fuels, HTC, and digital energy applications—with a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in Solar for productive use and mini grids.

With a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in environmentally friendly cooking technologies, the ideal candidate will possess either a university bachelor’s degree or advanced professional training in environmental and social safeguards, with a strong focus on gender and social inclusion.

A highly skilled professional with extensive advanced training in Results-Based Reimbursement and Financing Mechanisms, boasting over five years of hands-on experience in the development and execution of results-based financing (RBF/RBR) initiatives. This role requires expertise in designing and implementing these mechanisms, with a strong focus on ensuring enterprise compliance and maintaining robust reporting systems.

Skilled professional holding a bachelor’s degree in Community Development or a closely related discipline, complemented by three years of hands-on experience in community liaison roles.
