Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the successful candidate will oversee the full scope of operations across all departments, including Finance, Marketing and Business Development, Customer Services/Care, Projects, ICT, Credit, and Risk.

The SACCO’s daily operations are managed, which involves providing consistent supervisory support to staff at their respective workstations and ensuring systematic staff rotations.
Responsible for formulating and presenting to the Board of Directors the long-term strategic direction, comprehensive business plans, and yearly operational budgets, as well as implementing and maintaining robust internal monitoring mechanisms and control procedures.
Maintaining clear and consistent communication channels between the Board and staff is essential.
Responsibilities encompass overseeing human resource functions such as designing organizational frameworks, facilitating staff appointments, enhancing employee welfare, coordinating training initiatives, managing industrial relations, handling separations, and implementing robust management succession plans.
Our responsibility involves implementing ongoing enhancements to elevate the quality and value of services delivered by the SACCO, fostering sustained growth and member satisfaction.
To guarantee the ongoing attainment of the SACCO’s financial and operational targets while also providing quarterly reporting of internal auditor insights and recommendations.
Ensuring the effective implementation and adherence to SACCO policies and programs is a key responsibility of this role. This involves meticulous oversight to guarantee that all initiatives align with established guidelines and strategic objectives. The incumbent will be responsible for monitoring progress, addressing any deviations, and fostering compliance across all departments to uphold organizational standards and operational integrity.

Person Profile
A bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting—or a co-operative education program—is required for this role.
A degree in management or another pertinent field is required.
A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Kenya and an esteemed member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (IC PAK).
With a minimum of seven years of professional experience, including at least five years in a specialized role, the ideal candidate must demonstrate a proven track record in the field.
Seasoned executive with extensive leadership experience in the financial services sector, holding a senior management position within a financial institution.

A master’s degree in Finance or Accounting is highly desirable.
Requires a minimum of two years of hands-on experience within a Savings and Credit Cooperative Society setting.
Professional experience in a managerial role would be beneficial.
