Job Summary

The Utility Technician will oversee the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of pharmaceutical-grade water treatment and compressed air systems, ensuring an uninterrupted supply of high-quality utilities that adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory requirements. This position encompasses process monitoring, routine sampling and testing, diagnostic troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and meticulous documentation of operational activities to uphold product quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Oversee a variety of critical tasks, including strategic planning, project implementation, and team leadership, to drive organizational success. Collaborate with cross-functional departments to align objectives and ensure seamless execution of initiatives. Monitor performance metrics, analyze data trends, and provide actionable insights to senior management to support informed decision-making. Serve as a liaison between executives and operational teams to foster transparent communication and streamline workflows. Mentor junior staff, assess skill gaps, and implement training programs to enhance team capabilities. Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and best practices to maintain compliance and operational excellence.

Operate and oversee water treatment systems, encompassing reverse osmosis (RO), electro deionization (EDI), filtration units, water softeners, ultraviolet (UV) disinfection systems, and distribution circuits.

Responsibilities include overseeing and maintaining compressed air systems, such as compressors, dryers, filters, receivers, and distribution networks, to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Perform regular water sampling and analysis to assess pH, conductivity, microbial presence, and chlorine residual levels.

Guarantee adherence to pharmaceutical-grade compressed air quality specifications in accordance with ISO 8573 and GMP guidelines.

Conduct systematic inspections and implement preventive maintenance measures on pumps, valves, filters, membranes, and piping infrastructure to ensure operational reliability.

Prepare and maintain precise operational logs, detailed maintenance records, and comprehensive test reports to ensure full compliance with established standards and operational protocols.

Responsible for the secure handling of treatment chemicals in adherence to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations.

Provide assistance in resolving technical issues and contribute to ongoing enhancement efforts through systematic analysis and solution implementation.

Capability to perform assigned duties across varying shifts, encompassing daytime, evening, and overnight hours.

Proficiency in essential computer applications is required, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and other relevant software tools.
