We are seeking a highly skilled Red Seal Plumbing Specialist to join our team for an ambitious high-rise accommodation project located in Nairobi, Kenya. This position encompasses a comprehensive range of responsibilities, including the installation, rigorous testing, commissioning, and stringent quality control of domestic water systems, drainage networks, firefighting infrastructure, irrigation systems, swimming pool installations, and other specialized plumbing solutions.
Oversee and execute critical duties including managing team projects, ensuring adherence to deadlines, and maintaining high-quality standards in deliverables. Collaborate with cross-functional departments to align goals and streamline processes. Monitor performance metrics and provide data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement. Serve as a liaison between senior leadership and operational teams to facilitate clear communication and strategic alignment. Identify and mitigate risks while optimizing resource allocation to enhance efficiency. Mentor and develop team members through coaching, feedback, and professional growth opportunities. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies to uphold organizational integrity.
Interpret and analyze architectural, structural, and MEP drawings with precision, ensuring accurate understanding of design intent, specifications, and technical details.
Professionally qualified candidates will design, install, and maintain comprehensive hot and cold water supply systems, as well as drainage, soil, waste, and vent systems.
Professional installation of sanitary fixtures, pumps, tanks, filtration systems, and booster systems is required.
Execute underground drainage systems and carry out specialized plumbing installations with precision and adherence to industry standards.
Installation of irrigation systems, wet risers, sprinkler systems, jacuzzi units, and pool piping is required.
Perform pressure testing, drainage assessments, and system commissioning to verify operational integrity and functionality.
Adhere rigorously to all applicable British Standards, local regulatory requirements, and OSHA safety standards to maintain full compliance.
Requirements
Seeking a certified plumber holding a Red Seal endorsement, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Your duties will include reading blueprints, diagnosing issues, and ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety regulations. Proficiency in using tools such as wrenches, pipe cutters, and soldering equipment is essential, along with strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex plumbing challenges. You must possess exceptional attention to detail to deliver high-quality workmanship and maintain a safe work environment. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required, and prior experience in a similar role is preferred.
A minimum of five years of hands-on experience in high-rise or commercial construction projects is required.
Proficient in MEP coordination with specialized expertise in plumbing systems.
Preferred candidates will have prior experience in firefighting operations and the operation of specialized water systems.
International project experience is beneficial, as it demonstrates adaptability and cross-cultural collaboration skills. Candidates with exposure to diverse markets or teams are strongly encouraged to highlight these experiences.
