Responsible for administering and leading the Credit Pay collections process, this role ensures the prompt and efficient recovery of outstanding debts. Collaboration with internal teams, client engagement, and the application of strategic methods are essential to reducing delinquencies, requiring strong analytical capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and a demonstrated history of success in credit and collections. The Senior Credit Associate will assume a vital position in preserving financial stability by implementing effective Credit Pay management and collection strategies.

Oversee core operational duties, ensuring adherence to established protocols and standards. Implement strategies to optimize efficiency and productivity across assigned processes. Monitor team performance, providing guidance and support to foster professional development. Address process inefficiencies promptly to maintain service quality. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align objectives and achieve departmental targets. Maintain accurate documentation and reporting to track progress and compliance. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation within daily workflows.

Lead and oversee the complete Credit Pay collections lifecycle, ensuring rigorous monitoring of delinquencies while developing and executing targeted collection strategies to mitigate risk and enhance recovery rates.

Assess customers’ financial reliability and determine appropriate credit limits in coordination with the credit analysis team.

Cultivate and sustain strong client connections to ensure transparent dialogue and effectively address payment discrepancies.

Analyze customer accounts to identify key trends, then propose strategic enhancements to optimize debt recovery processes and reduce outstanding balances.

Collaborate with sales, customer service, and other pertinent departments to manage client inquiries and accelerate the resolution of disputes.

Employ negotiation and persuasion techniques to obtain agreed-upon payment schedules and settle disputes through collaborative resolution.

Compile and deliver periodic reports to management, focusing on collection activities, aging analysis, and key performance indicators.

To maintain current knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in credit and collections, you will conduct ongoing research and analysis.

Does this sound like you?

A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline is required.

A minimum of three years of progressive credit and collections experience, including at least one year in a senior or lead capacity, is required.

Proficiency in evaluating credit risk, implementing effective debt recovery tactics, and comprehending legal considerations is essential.

Proven ability to communicate clearly and build strong relationships with both internal colleagues and external stakeholders is essential for this role.

Skilled in operating credit management software platforms and the Microsoft Office Suite proficiently.

Demonstrates strong analytical capabilities, adept at interpreting financial data to derive meaningful insights and support informed decision-making.
