As an Application Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include providing technical expertise and solutions to clients, troubleshooting complex issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of applications. You will also be tasked with developing and maintaining detailed documentation, conducting performance assessments, and recommending improvements to enhance system efficiency. Additionally, you will serve as a liaison between clients and the development team, ensuring clear communication of technical requirements and project objectives. Proficiency in relevant programming languages, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines are essential for success in this role.
Ensuring adherence to the Manage the Job Cycle (MTC) process is a critical responsibility of this role.
Collaborate closely with the designated Service Delivery Coordinator or Salesperson to gain a comprehensive understanding of the client’s objectives for well construction or production.
Design robust profiles and execute applications engineering tasks, encompassing risk mitigation and contingency planning, to align with client objectives, optimize revenue potential, and secure future project engagements for Baker Hughes.
Responding to on-site incidents pertaining to products and services represents a key aspect of this role.
When necessary, engage in Incident Investigations to ensure the entire process is completed thoroughly.
Offering comprehensive sales assistance and expert guidance on product applications.
Manages and executes special projects as needed.
To excel in this position, you will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:
Possession of a bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline is required.
Seeking candidates with a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in well planning or applications engineering within drilling service environments.
Proficient in both spoken and written English at an advanced level.
Capable of regular travel, which may include visits to rig sites, customer facilities, meetings, and training sessions, among other destinations.
Must be available to respond to on-call requests beyond regular business hours.
You possess outstanding interpersonal abilities, exceptional influencing skills, and a strong aptitude for planning.
