Job Description

Coordinates and facilitates the Department of Public Works’ assigned functions by overseeing and aligning the activities of its related departments to ensure timely service delivery. The role involves reporting the operational status of the assigned organization to public works and/or site management, offering technical and operational support to projects, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and specifications during service delivery. Additionally, the position conducts inspections and audits of public works activities to verify adherence to specified requirements, provides training on specialized processes and procedures, and collaborates with company and project leadership, designers, and client representatives to establish and implement public works initiatives. The individual is also responsible for training, scheduling, and supervising subordinate public works staff, along with performing any other duties as assigned.

Applicants must meet the following qualifications to be considered for the position. A relevant degree or equivalent professional experience in the field is required. Candidates should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with excellent communication abilities. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is a must, and prior experience in a similar role is highly preferred. The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment is essential. Additionally, a commitment to continuous learning and professional development is necessary to succeed in this role.

A high school diploma or GED equivalent, or an equivalent blend of education and professional experience, along with five to eight years of relevant work experience, is required.

Candidates must meet the following qualifications to be considered for this role. A minimum of five years of relevant experience in the field is required, along with a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is essential, and prior leadership or management experience is preferred. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are necessary to excel in this position. Additionally, the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities is critical. Familiarity with current industry trends and best practices is also expected.

Requires the expertise, proficiency, and physical capacity essential for fulfilling assigned responsibilities. To maintain adherence to contractual safety, health, and security standards, the employee must demonstrate the ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English at an intermediate level, enabling the effective execution of job duties.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; alternatively, equivalent practical experience in software development.

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.

Familiarity with data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.

Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
