AAA Growers Limited is in search of a meticulous and proactive Creditors Accounts Officer to bolster the Accounts Payable department. This position entails processing supplier payments, overseeing both local and foreign currency creditor accounts, conducting reconciliations, managing petty cash, ensuring adherence to VAT regulations, and maintaining precise financial records for AAA Growers and its subsidiaries.
Oversee and execute essential duties encompassing strategic planning, team leadership, and operational oversight to ensure organizational objectives are met. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to align departmental efforts with overarching company goals. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance efficiency and productivity. Monitor performance metrics and KPIs to evaluate team and organizational success, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions when necessary. Serve as a pivotal point of contact for stakeholders, providing clear communication and fostering strong professional relationships. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies to mitigate risks and maintain operational integrity.
Process and validate supplier invoices, Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs), Local Purchase Orders (Los), and associated supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with established protocols.
Responsible for reconciling supplier statements and generating remittances to ensure punctual payments.
Ensure creditor records are maintained with precision, and facilitate the timely allocation of payments.
Oversee foreign currency creditors and accounts payable functions for designated subsidiary companies.
Process and reconcile petty cash reimbursements originating from the Head Office, ensuring accurate financial documentation and timely disbursement of funds.
Ensure precise VAT entries and preserve corresponding documentation to uphold compliance and facilitate audit readiness.
Handle freight-related financial transactions and ensure accurate maintenance of associated records.
Compose monthly accounts payable reports, disbursement schedules, and account reconciliations as part of routine financial operations.
Work collaboratively with suppliers and internal teams to address and resolve discrepancies in documentation and reconciliation processes.
Engage in inventory counts and offer assistance during both internal and external audit processes.

Qualifications and Essential Competencies:

Proficiency in financial software applications, including ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills are mandatory. A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, commerce, or an equivalent discipline is required.
Qualified candidates must possess either a CPA Part II/III credential, an ARCA certification, or an equivalent professional qualification.
A minimum of two years of professional experience in Accounts Payable or Creditors Management is required.
Skilled in utilizing accounting software and Microsoft Excel with a high degree of proficiency.
Proficiency in VAT regulations and familiarity with ETFMS requirements will be considered an asset.
