Established in 1982 by the Al Fa teem Group of Dubai, the company underwent a change in ownership in 1988 when it was acquired by Kenyan investors. In 2004, following another transfer of ownership from the previous proprietors, Kenya Orient Insurance was formally established under its current ownership.
Since then, the company has experienced consistent growth and is rapidly emerging as a significant player within the industry.
