What You’ll Do
Spearhead consumer marketing initiatives throughout East Africa while concurrently providing strategic support for culturally tailored campaigns across other Sub-Saharan African markets.
Partner with diverse teams spanning marketing, music, partnerships, media, analytics, and creative to develop and execute comprehensive campaigns from initial strategy to final delivery.
Leverage both platform-based and external data sources to analyze audience patterns, uncover market potential, and pinpoint key growth factors, thereby shaping and refining marketing strategies for optimal effectiveness.
Partner with internal stakeholders and external agency collaborators to craft concise, compelling creative and media briefs.
Develop and implement strategies to attract, engage, and retain users across both Free and Premium segments.
Develop strategic collaborations with local partners, influencers, creatives, agencies, and key cultural hubs to enhance brand visibility and consumer engagement.
Examine campaign outcomes to derive key insights and develop practical suggestions for enhancing future initiatives and market approaches.
Global marketing strategies must be tailored to align with regional preferences, cultural nuances, and distinct market dynamics to effectively engage diverse consumer segments. This role involves customizing worldwide campaigns so they reflect local values, behaviors, and expectations, ensuring relevance and impact in varied geographic and socioeconomic settings.
Partner with internal teams and regional collaborators to facilitate local music and cultural marketing initiatives.
Who You Are
With at least four years of hands-on experience in consumer marketing, brand marketing, or campaign management across East Africa, you bring a strong foundation to this role.
With a proven track record of operating in diverse Sub-Saharan African markets or leading regional campaigns, you bring valuable hands-on experience to the role.
You possess a strong background in brand strategy, consumer insights, digital marketing, media, and/or project management, with a proven track record of success in these areas.
You possess a proven track record of executing high-impact campaigns across diverse industries, including digital businesses, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), retail, entertainment, and technology sectors.
Do you possess the ability to convert consumer and cultural insights into compelling marketing strategies and impactful campaigns?
You possess strong analytical skills, enabling you to interpret data and performance metrics to assess success and enhance marketing efficiency.
You must adeptly balance competing priorities with precision, ensuring meticulous attention to detail and consistently high standards in execution.
