Position Scope:

The successful candidate will oversee compliance functions for all Head Office operations, guaranteeing alignment with regulatory mandates, internal policies, and ethical guidelines. By fostering a robust compliance culture, the position strengthens the bank’s integrity and risk management framework across departments including Finance, Marketing, HR, Legal, Audit, and others.

Oversee and execute critical operational tasks, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and industry standards. Offer expert counsel to all Head Office departments regarding regulatory compliance and internal policy adherence.

Monitor and evaluate compliance risks spanning various departments, including Finance, HR, Legal, Marketing, Operations, ICT, and others, to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies.

Review and endorse departmental policies and procedures to ensure they comply with regulatory requirements.

Conduct comprehensive thematic compliance reviews and risk assessments across all Head Office units to identify potential risks and ensure adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies.

Facilitate communication with regulatory bodies to address compliance issues impacting Head Office operations.

Accurate and timely regulatory reporting must be ensured by the relevant departments.

Monitor and report the effects of evolving regulatory requirements on Head Office operations, ensuring clear and timely communication of changes and their implications.

Develop and implement customized compliance training programs specifically designed for Head Office personnel.

Raise awareness regarding anti-money laundering (AML) and combating the financing of terrorism (CFT), data privacy protocols, ethical standards, and corporate governance frameworks.

Responsibilities include overseeing compliance monitoring, performing thorough investigations, and proposing appropriate corrective measures to address any identified gaps or violations.

Facilitate the creation and ongoing evaluation of policies to ensure alignment with industry best practices and regulatory standards.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required:
Candidates must possess a strong academic foundation and relevant professional experience in the specified field. Certified professionals holding designations such as FRM, CFP, CFE, ADAMS, CPA, and IT certifications are required.

A minimum of eight to ten years of professional experience in compliance, audit, or risk management is required, including at least three years in a leadership position.
