The monthly salary for this position ranges from KSS. 34,420 to Kshs. 46,120, with periodic increments structured as follows: KSS. 35,720 (1,300 units), KSS. 37,100 (1,380 units), KSS. 38,490 (1,390 units), KSS. 39,950 (1,460 units), KSS. 41,420 (1,470 units), KSS. 42,890 (1,470 units), and KSS. 44,410 (1,520 units), culminating at KSS. 46,120.

This role serves as the introductory and developmental position within the cadre. Personnel in this grade will perform duties under the direction and oversight of a more experienced officer.
Headquarters is located within the county, serving as the central administrative hub for countywide operations and governance.
Duties and responsibilities at this level include overseeing a range of administrative functions, such as managing routine office operations, coordinating the enforcement of county regulations, and safeguarding government property, assets, facilities, and inventory. Additionally, the role involves ensuring the proper upkeep of infrastructure and facilities, administering transport services, and organizing office accommodation. Responsibilities also extend to procuring, maintaining, and updating office equipment and furniture, as well as coordinating and facilitating meetings, conferences, and other special events. Furthermore, the position requires supervising the general maintenance of buildings and furniture to uphold operational standards.
Field Administration involves executing on-site operational tasks, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and maintaining accurate records of all field activities. This role demands meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in diverse environments. Responsibilities include conducting inspections, coordinating with field teams, and resolving operational challenges to uphold efficiency and adherence to policies. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, along with prior experience in a related field and proficiency in using field-specific software. Excellent communication skills are essential for effectively liaising with stakeholders and reporting findings accurately.
The officer will report to and operate under the guidance of a senior officer. This role involves establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, addressing public inquiries and concerns, and overseeing the progress and impact of community initiatives. Additionally, the officer will coordinate local resource mobilization efforts, encourage community engagement in development projects, and ensure adherence to occupational health and safety standards. Promoting ethical practices and the principles of good governance will also form part of the responsibilities, alongside compiling and analyzing data related to developmental activities. Furthermore, the officer will collaborate with relevant stakeholders to organize public participation forums for citizens.
Requires: a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with three years of experience in software development. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ is essential. Familiarity with frameworks like Django, Spring Boot, or .NET is highly desirable. Knowledge of database systems, including SQL and NoSQL, is necessary. Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills are also mandatory.
To qualify for this grade, an officer must meet the following criteria:
A recognized institution must award a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration/Management, Community Development, or any related field within the social sciences.
A diploma in computer applications is required for this position.
