The Role

The ideal candidate will be tasked with delivering the following responsibilities and duties:

Responsible for overseeing the lead consultant/contractor/supplier relationship and ensuring strict adherence to contract compliance across all agreements.

Effectively oversee the Bank’s property portfolio, ensuring robust security measures and diligent maintenance are consistently upheld.

Establish and enforce uniform architectural standards across all bank construction projects while integrating sustainable practices, such as solar energy solutions and automated lighting and climate control systems.

Enhance data center power efficiency, specifically through measures such as server virtualization, deactivating underutilized servers, and optimizing air-cooling systems to achieve lower Power Usage Effectiveness (DUE) metrics.

Develop and implement construction and refurbishment plans that maximize cost efficiency while minimizing expenditures.

Review payment certificates submitted by consultants, verifying their accuracy and completeness against comprehensive valuation reports for both services and builders’ works.

Maintain thorough and accurate documentation for all active and finalized projects, including contracts, performance bonds, and any other necessary paperwork.

Facilitate consultations and meetings with external consultants and contractors to address construction and renovation initiatives, collaborating closely with management to ensure alignment and progress.

Provide strategic budgetary guidance regarding the construction and refurbishment of company facilities.

Maintain compliance with all applicable statutory health and safety regulations to safeguard workplace environments and mitigate potential risks effectively.

Collaborate effectively with Marketing and Customer Services teams to refine and elevate the Branch’s visual identity and customer experience.

Ensure all works undergo thorough checks, verifications, inspections, and valuations prior to processing supplier payments.

Ensure facilities and premises consistently meet high standards to mitigate risk of losses associated with inadequate maintenance.

Responsible for overseeing and managing capital expenditure for projects while ensuring strict adherence to the approved budget, established timelines, and required quality standards throughout the design and implementation phases, as well as during supervision activities.

Ensure effective implementation of ongoing and new initiatives.

Create and sustain a high-performing culture within the department.

Monitor internal performance within each spending segment/category.

Champion continuous improvement and performance excellence.

Ensure strict adherence to all regulations, statutes, standards, and internal processes/procedures per relevant manuals, and comply with applicable external legislation and regulations.

The ideal candidate must demonstrate proficiency in the following skills and competencies:

A bachelor’s degree is required for this position.

Accumulated over five years of proven expertise in Projects and Facilities Management, with a demonstrated history of consistent success in the field.

A degree in Civil Engineering, Building Economics, or Architecture is required.

Astute strategic reasoning coupled with robust analytical proficiency are essential attributes for this role.

Demonstrates exceptional proficiency in negotiation and contract administration, consistently delivering optimal outcomes while mitigating risks and fostering mutually beneficial agreements.

Proven ability to communicate effectively and manage relationships with key stakeholders.

Demonstrated capacity to lead teams effectively and collaborate seamlessly across diverse departments.
