Position Overview

The Swimming Pool Attendant/Boat Rider is responsible for maintaining the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of guests utilizing the hotel’s pool and boating amenities. This position integrates guest service, vigilant safety oversight, and careful equipment management to ensure a high-quality recreational experience.

Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of critical duties to ensure operational excellence, including strategic planning, team leadership, and performance optimization. Collaborate with cross-functional departments to align organizational goals, drive project execution, and foster a culture of accountability and innovation. Monitor progress through established KPIs, implement process improvements, and ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies. Serve as a primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing clear communication, resolving escalated issues, and maintaining high standards of professionalism and ethical conduct.

Ensure guest safety by actively patrolling pool and boating areas to mitigate risks, uphold established safety protocols, and address emergencies without delay.

Facility Maintenance responsibilities include ensuring the cleanliness of the pool deck, boats, and adjacent areas while monitoring water quality to promptly identify and report any concerns.

Operate and maintain boats, life jackets, and poolside equipment with precision, while ensuring all items are securely stored and properly maintained to meet safety and operational standards.

Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guests’ needs at the poolside, during boat rides, and during recreational activities, delivering clear guidance and friendly assistance throughout their experience.

Collaborate effectively with lifeguards, recreation personnel, and hotel management to ensure seamless coordination of guest activities.

Qualifications

Swimming Skills: Demonstrates exceptional proficiency in swimming; possession of a lifeguard certification is advantageous.

Professional Rewriting:
A minimum of one year operating small boats or personal watercraft with a strong emphasis on safety protocols.

Highly desirable qualifications include certification in CPR and First Aid.

A background in hospitality, with prior experience in hotels, resorts, or recreational facilities, is highly beneficial.

Demonstrated capability to engage thoughtfully and courteously with guests from varied cultural and demographic backgrounds, fostering an inviting and respectful interaction at all times.
