Job Objective: This position is designed to fulfill a critical operational need by executing key responsibilities that drive organizational success. The incumbent will be expected to perform essential duties that support the overall mission and strategic goals of the company. Key tasks include managing daily operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve performance targets. Additional responsibilities involve analyzing performance data, identifying trends, and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity. The ideal candidate must possess a proven track record in the relevant field, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism.

The Lead Systems Integrator & Developer oversees the complete delivery and dependability of the organization’s critical data integrations. This position involves designing and maintaining the data infrastructure for a rapidly expanding, multi-campus international school network, serving as the lead architect for the school’s integration backbone. Additionally, the role is responsible for constructing and sustaining automated data flows that link HR, MIS, Library, and Google Workspace platforms. The incumbent manages the entire delivery lifecycle—from collaborating with non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements, through architecture, development, and deployment, to continuous monitoring and documentation.

Applicants must possess a relevant academic degree in the specified field, along with a minimum of [X] years of professional experience in a comparable role. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related quantitative discipline is required.

A minimum of three years of professional experience in a junior or mid-level developer position is required.

Accomplished in creating and sustaining production-grade Python scripts that automate data synchronization across enterprise platforms.

Experienced in developing and overseeing Zero-Touch onboarding and offboarding workflows between an

MIS and Directory Services (such as Google Workspace or similar platforms) are required.

Accomplished in designing and implementing API-driven integration solutions to streamline manual business operations through automation.

Proven expertise in managing the complete project lifecycle, beginning with the collection of requirements from non-technical stakeholders and continuing through deployment, ongoing monitoring, and the final documentation handoff.

You should have a proven track record of deploying structured logging systems, configuring alert mechanisms, and establishing foundational observability practices for automated, scheduled jobs operating in live production environments.

Added Advantage

Post-graduate credentials in Data Engineering or Cloud Architecture, such as those from Google Professional Data Engineer or AWS Certified Data Analytics, are required.

Professional credentials in Power BI, Advanced Data Analytics, or Google Workspace are advantageous.

Proficiency in Kenya’s Data Protection Act of 2019 is essential.

Professional experience in the K-12 education sector or familiarity with School Management Information Systems (MIS) is required.

Proficiency is required in managing data within multi-campus or multi-entity environments, including the consolidation and reconciliation of information across organizational or geographic divisions.

Proficiency in transitioning on-premise legacy scripts to serverless architectures or containerized cloud solutions is required.

In prior roles, you have led or served as a senior contributor, overseeing technical documentation, establishing code standards, and facilitating knowledge transfer within a small team.

Proficient in utilizing Integrated Library Systems (ILS) such as Doha, with expertise in employing REST API integration for efficient patron and catalogue management.
