Position Overview
The Swimming Pool Attendant/Boat Rider is responsible for ensuring guest safety, comfort, and satisfaction at the hotel’s swimming pool and boating facilities. This position requires performing a combination of guest service, vigilant safety oversight, and proper equipment management to provide an exceptional recreational experience.
Oversee and execute core responsibilities vital to operational success, including strategic project management to ensure timely delivery of objectives, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures, and fostering collaboration across departments to enhance productivity and efficiency. Additionally, monitor performance metrics to identify areas for improvement, recommend innovative solutions to streamline workflows, and uphold high standards of quality and accountability in all tasks. Responsible for leading cross-functional teams, coordinating resources effectively, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals while adhering to budgetary constraints and regulatory requirements.
Monitor pool and boating areas vigilantly to uphold safety protocols, prevent potential hazards, and enforce established regulations. Act swiftly and decisively in addressing any emergencies that arise to ensure the well-being of all guests.
Facility Maintenance involves ensuring the cleanliness of the pool deck, boats, and adjacent areas, as well as monitoring water quality and promptly reporting any concerns.
Equipment Handling: Responsible for the operation, securing, and proper storage of boats, life jackets, and poolside equipment, while maintaining their upkeep to ensure safety and functionality at all times.
Provide attentive customer service by addressing guests’ poolside requests, organizing boat rides, and facilitating recreational activities while delivering clear guidance and approachable assistance.
Collaborate effectively with fellow lifeguards, recreation personnel, and hotel leadership to synchronize guest activity planning.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required. Minimum of three years of experience in software development, with proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, or C++. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment are essential. Familiarity with version control systems like Git and experience with agile methodologies are also necessary. Excellent communication skills to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders are a must.
Professional swimming proficiency is required, and a lifeguard certification is advantageous.
Professional Rewriting:
Prior experience in the safe operation of small boats or watercraft is required.
CPR and First Aid certification are strongly preferred qualifications for this position.
A background in hospitality, encompassing roles within hotels, resorts, or recreational facilities, is highly valued.
Demonstrates strong interpersonal abilities, fostering welcoming and professional interactions with guests from various cultural and social backgrounds.
