Position Overview

The Swimming Pool Attendant/Boat Rider is responsible for maintaining the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of guests utilizing the hotel’s swimming pool and boating amenities. This position merges guest service, vigilant safety oversight, and proficient equipment management to provide an exceptional recreational experience.

Oversee a comprehensive range of critical duties encompassing strategic planning, operational execution, and team leadership to ensure organizational objectives are met efficiently and effectively. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to drive innovation, optimize processes, and enhance productivity across departments. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to maintain compliance with industry regulations while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Serve as the primary liaison between senior management and operational teams, providing clear communication, actionable insights, and performance metrics to support data-driven decision-making. Lead initiatives aimed at talent development, succession planning, and workforce engagement to cultivate a high-performing and motivated team.

Ensure guest safety by actively patrolling pool and boating areas, vigilantly preventing accidents, strictly enforcing safety regulations, and responding without delay to any emergencies that arise.

Facility Maintenance: Ensure the pool deck, boats, and adjacent areas remain clean and well-maintained. Perform routine inspections of water quality and promptly report any discrepancies or concerns.

Equipment Handling: Responsible for the operation, securement, and maintenance of boats, life jackets, and poolside equipment, ensuring proper storage and upkeep at all times.

Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guests’ poolside requirements, organizing boat rides, and facilitating recreational activities, all while delivering clear, courteous guidance and support.

Collaborate effectively with lifeguards, recreation staff, and hotel management to organize and facilitate guest activities seamlessly.

Seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented professional with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role. Must possess strong problem-solving skills, exceptional communication abilities, and proficiency in industry-specific software. Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring accuracy in data entry and reporting, and maintaining clear documentation of processes.

Possesses exceptional swimming proficiency; lifeguard certification is a favorable asset.

Professional boating experience is required, involving the secure operation of small boats or watercraft.

CPR and First Aid certification are strongly preferred qualifications for this role.

A background in the hospitality industry, including prior roles in hotels, resorts, or recreational facilities, is preferred.

Communication Skills: Must demonstrate the capacity to engage with guests from various backgrounds in a courteous and polished manner.
