The Role
We seek a visionary Headteacher to lead our educational institution, responsible for shaping its strategic direction, fostering an inclusive and high-performing culture, and ensuring outstanding academic and pastoral outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in senior leadership, with a deep understanding of educational governance, policy implementation, and staff development. Additionally, they must demonstrate exceptional communication skills, the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders, including parents, governors, and community partners, and a commitment to continuous improvement in teaching and learning.
Cultivate and advance Pembroke House’s longstanding tradition of academic rigor, pastoral care, and holistic education.
Lead by example through clear, compassionate, and purpose-driven communication that motivates both students and staff to excel.
Uphold the school’s residential philosophy and dynamic extracurricular offerings, fostering an environment where every student feels recognized, encouraged, and nurtured.
In collaboration with the Pembroke House Council (the Board of Governors), help shape and advance the school’s strategic direction.
We expect candidates to embody and demonstrate the school’s core values—curiosity, courage, a spirit of adventure, compassion, resilience, and integrity—qualities cultivated through the distinct Pembroke experience. Applications are encouraged from both existing Heads and senior leaders aspiring to their inaugural headship position.
All applications must be submitted electronically to Henry Knight at henry@prepositions.co.uk, with all required documents provided in PDF format.
