Job Summary
The Doctor Liaison Officer will proactively cultivate strong partnerships with physicians currently affiliated with 3rd Park Hospital, ensuring they receive the necessary support to enhance their professional capabilities and deliver exceptional care. Additionally, the role involves recognizing opportunities to strengthen physician retention, addressing any communication barriers, and effectively promoting the hospital’s evolving capabilities and new service offerings to medical professionals.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and internal policies while maintaining accurate operational records. Develop and implement robust risk management strategies to mitigate potential financial and operational threats. Lead cross-functional teams to execute strategic initiatives that enhance efficiency and drive business growth. Collaborate with senior leadership to align financial goals with overall company objectives. Oversee budgetary processes, including forecasting, monitoring, and reporting guaranteeing fiscal responsibility. Foster a culture of transparency and accountability within the organization. Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements to recommend innovative solutions.
Develop and nurture robust professional connections with admitting and referring physicians to enhance collaboration and ensure a seamless patient referral process.
Facilitate seamless patient referral procedures and ensure effective inter-specialty coordination to optimize care transitions and enhance collaborative treatment planning.
Address communication inefficiencies to enhance physician satisfaction and foster higher retention rates within the organization.
Serve as the primary liaison for addressing physicians’ inquiries and resolving their concerns.
Deliver timely communications highlighting advancements in medical technologies, the introduction of new equipment, and expanded service offerings within the hospital.
Gather input from physicians and promptly elevate any critical issues to senior leadership for resolution.
Collaborate effectively with insurance and finance departments to facilitate seamless pre-authorizations and payment processing.
Maintain precise documentation of physician engagements within the CRM system to ensure comprehensive and up-to-date records.
Represent the hospital at industry networking events, professional seminars, and stakeholder meetings to enhance visibility and foster key relationships.
Minimum of three years of experience in a senior accounting role, including proficiency with GAAP and financial reporting standards. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to interpret complex financial data. Exceptional communication abilities are required to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP systems are mandatory. A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required; a CPA or equivalent certification is strongly preferred.
A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or a closely related discipline is required.
4–5 years of proven experience in healthcare sales, physician relations, or an equivalent liaison capacity is required.
Effective interpersonal communication, robust networking capabilities, and adept relationship management are essential for this role.
Skilled in utilizing MS Office applications and customer relationship management systems is required.
Proficiency in medical terminology and familiarity with hospital operational frameworks are essential.
Track and measure key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of initiatives, ensuring objectives are met through data-driven insights and continuous improvement strategies.
As a result, there is a notable growth in the aggregate volume of patient referrals received, demonstrating an upward trend in demand for services.
Consistent representation of physicians across all specialties shall be maintained.
Hosting regular in-person meetings with referring physicians to maintain and strengthen collaborative relationships.
Effective minimization of issues or complaints originating from admitting physicians has been achieved.
