Reporting to the Relationship Manager – Business Development (Zonal Leader), the incumbent will drive the Branch toward exceptional performance by implementing effective people management strategies, fostering robust business growth, and cultivating a customer-centric culture throughout the Branch.

Oversee and execute a range of critical duties and responsibilities essential to the role, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and operational standards. Deliver consistent performance in executing core functions, maintaining high levels of accountability and precision in all assigned tasks. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to drive project completion, foster innovation, and uphold best practices. Address challenges proactively, adapt to evolving priorities, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Prioritize efficiency, quality, and adherence to established policies while supporting broader business goals.

Leadership of the Branch is required to guide and develop staff, fostering an environment that aligns with the Bank’s Mission, Vision, and Strategic Objectives. Your role involves overseeing Branch operations while mentoring team members to ensure collective progress toward these institutional goals.

To guarantee the attainment of established objectives in customer service excellence, customer retention strategies, deposit growth initiatives, and the enhancement of the loan portfolio’s quality, meticulous planning and execution are required.

Foster and sustain key relationships at the branch to drive business expansion and growth initiatives.

Develop strategic alliances with subject-matter experts, affluent individuals, religious organizations, and educational or corporate entities to expand our market presence and drive revenue growth.

Maintain a balanced portfolio encompassing Church, SME, Retail, and Corporate deposits. Develop and execute strategies to penetrate key business segments, markets, and sectors.

Drive expansion of non-funded income streams, encompassing transactional, alternative, and direct banking services.

Maintain staff productivity by providing support, mentorship, and ensuring timely completion of tasks while upholding high standards of customer service.

Verify adherence to all applicable internal policies as well as external regulatory mandates.

Management requires at least two years of experience, with a minimum of one year in a leadership or supervisory role within a professional setting.

A background in either the microfinance or commercial banking sector is required.

Proficiency in Microfinance operations and principles will be considered a valuable asset.

Accomplished leadership with a strong track record in people management and a demonstrated capacity to deliver results through team collaboration.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment are crucial. A degree in a business-related discipline at the bachelor’s level is required.

Professional qualifications such as the Certified Credit Professional (CCP) credential and/or a Diploma in Banking are advantageous.

Proficient in ICT is essential, and prior experience with T24 would be particularly beneficial.
