The Role
The Sales Manager will be stationed in Kisumu, overseeing the expansion of the company’s revenue streams. This position demands strategic vision coupled with practical team leadership, as the role acts as a vital link between our production resources and market infrastructure demands.
Oversee a diverse range of critical tasks encompassing strategic planning, operational execution, and performance evaluation to ensure organizational objectives are met consistently. Develop and implement comprehensive policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance efficiency, mitigate risks, and maintain compliance with industry regulations. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align departmental goals with broader company initiatives, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and produce detailed reports to track progress, identify trends, and recommend data-driven solutions for optimization. Serve as a primary liaison between leadership and staff, facilitating transparent communication and ensuring alignment with executive vision and mission. Conduct regular assessments of team performance, provide constructive feedback, and mentor employees to cultivate talent and drive professional growth. Manage resource allocation, budget oversight, and vendor relationships to maximize cost-effectiveness while maintaining high standards of quality and service delivery.
Develop and implement robust, end-to-end sales strategies tailored to our diverse product offerings, which include Ballast, Aggregates, Ca bros, Building Blocks, Asphalt Concrete, and Precast items.
Business Development: Uncover and capitalize on lucrative prospects within the construction, real estate, and public infrastructure markets.
Account management involves cultivating and sustaining enduring partnerships with contractors, developers, transporters, educational institutions, and corporate clients.
Market intelligence responsibilities include tracking regional trends, analyzing competitor pricing strategies, and assessing customer demand to sustain Stone field’s position as the market leader.
Dynamic leadership is required to oversee, guide, and motivate the sales team, ensuring consistent achievement and surpassing of revenue objectives.
Prepare accurate sales forecasts, departmental budgets, and monthly performance reports for senior management.
Spearhead supply chain coordination efforts by collaborating closely with production and logistics teams to guarantee punctual deliveries and achieve complete client satisfaction.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field is necessary. A minimum of three years of experience in a comparable role is required. Proficiency in relevant software and tools is essential. Strong communication and organizational skills are mandatory. Ability to work independently and as part of a team is crucial. Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices is a must.
A bachelor’s degree in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, or a closely related field is required.
A minimum of three to five years of direct sales management experience is required, ideally within the quarry, construction materials, cement, or manufacturing sectors.
Industry Insight: Possesses comprehensive expertise in the Kenyan construction sector along with the building materials’ industry.
Demonstrated expertise in leading and motivating sales teams to achieve exceptional results under demanding conditions.
Proven expertise in Microsoft Office Suite alongside hands-on experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems is required.
Exceptional abilities in negotiation, communication, and establishing strong interpersonal connections are required.
A valid driver’s license is highly beneficial for this role.
