The Role

The ideal candidate will be expected to fulfill the following duties and responsibilities:

Responsible for overseeing and maintaining strong relationships with lead consultants, contractors, and suppliers, while ensuring strict adherence to contractual obligations across all agreements.

Oversee the Bank’s property portfolio with diligence, focusing on robust security measures and proactive maintenance to uphold operational excellence and asset integrity.

Establish and enforce consistent architectural standards across all bank construction projects while integrating sustainable practices such as solar energy solutions, automated lighting systems, and sensor-controlled air conditioning.

Develop strategies to enhance data center power efficiency, specifically through virtualization, powering down idle servers, and optimizing air-cooling systems to reduce DUE.

Create innovative, budget-conscious construction and refurbishment strategies while maximizing cost efficiency.

Responsibilities include meticulously verifying consultants’ payment certificates by cross-referencing them with comprehensive valuation reports for both services and builders’ works.

Ensure thorough and accurate documentation for all active and finalized projects, including contracts, performance bonds, and any other necessary paperwork.

Collaborate with consultants and contractors to organize and facilitate meetings and discussions concerning construction and alterations, while serving as the liaison with management.

Develop strategic financial recommendations to optimize the allocation of resources for construction and refurbishment initiatives of the premises.

Maintain adherence to all applicable health and safety regulations and statutory requirements.

Collaborate effectively with Marketing and Customer Service teams to refine the Branch’s visual identity and overall customer experience.

Thoroughly review, validate, and inspect all completed works to confirm compliance with specifications prior to authorizing supplier payments.

Ensure facilities and premises consistently meet elevated standards to mitigate potential losses stemming from inadequate maintenance.

Oversee capital expenditure allocations for projects, guaranteeing adherence to approved budgets, established timelines, and required quality standards throughout both the design and implementation phases.

Drive the successful execution of both existing and new strategic initiatives with precision and efficiency.

Foster and uphold an environment of excellence and high performance within the department.

Track and evaluate internal performance metrics across all spending segments and categories to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.

Drive ongoing enhancements and operational excellence by fostering a culture of relentless progress and high performance.

Strictly adhere to all applicable regulations, statutes, standards, and internal policies outlined in relevant manuals, while ensuring full compliance with external legislation and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate must possess a comprehensive range of skills and competencies, including:

A bachelor’s degree is required for this position.

Demonstrates a robust five years or more of hands-on experience in overseeing projects and facilities management initiatives.

A degree in Civil Engineering, Building Economics, or Architecture is required.

Strategic thinking and robust analytical skills are essential.

Proven mastery in negotiating terms and overseeing contract lifecycle management is essential.

Proven ability to communicate effectively and manage relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Strong interpersonal skills with a track record of fostering productive collaborations and ensuring alignment with key business objectives.
