Our client, a thriving bakery located in Eastleigh, is currently seeking to fill the position with Assistant Baker.

The successful applicant must demonstrate diligence, self-control, and enthusiasm for participating in daily bakery functions, which include sanitation tasks, preparatory duties, and collaborative baking efforts.

Oversee a range of critical duties including the development and implementation of strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Manage cross-functional teams to drive project execution, fostering collaboration and accountability while maintaining high performance standards. Analyze complex data to identify trends, monitor progress against KPIs, and present actionable insights to senior leadership. Develop and refine departmental policies, processes, and workflows to enhance efficiency and operational excellence. Serve as a key liaison between departments, stakeholders, and external partners to facilitate seamless communication and coordination. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal guidelines, mitigating risks and upholding organizational integrity.

Support basic baking preparation tasks to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Provide assistance to the baker throughout the production workflow to ensure seamless operations.

Thoroughly sanitize all baking machinery, tools, and designated work areas to maintain optimal hygiene standards in accordance with food safety regulations.

Maintain impeccable cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the bakery environment.

Support the preparation and organization of ingredients and materials as required.

Assist with the packaging and organization of baked goods as needed.

Adhere rigorously to established food safety protocols and maintain impeccable hygiene standards at all times.

Perform all additional responsibilities as directed within the scope of bakery operations.

Seeking a candidate with a minimum of five years of relevant experience in the field, along with a Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is essential. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required, as well as excellent communication and organizational abilities. The ideal applicant will demonstrate a proven track record of project management and the capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment. Knowledge of industry-specific software and tools is a plus.

Mandatory prerequisites include prior professional experience in bakery or kitchen settings.
