Position Overview
The Swimming Pool Attendant and Boat Rider is responsible for maintaining the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of guests utilizing the hotel’s pool and boating amenities. This position integrates attentive guest service, vigilant safety oversight, and efficient equipment management to uphold a high-quality recreational environment.
Oversee and execute critical operational duties, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and maintaining high performance standards. Drive strategic initiatives while managing day-to-day tasks to foster efficiency and productivity. Collaborate across departments to streamline processes, enhance workflows, and achieve measurable outcomes. Monitor progress, assess performance metrics, and implement corrective actions as needed to uphold excellence. Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, cultivating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Monitor the pool and boating areas vigilantly to preempt potential hazards, enforce established safety protocols, and address any emergencies with immediate action.
Facility maintenance responsibilities include ensuring the cleanliness of the pool deck, boats, and adjacent areas, as well as monitoring water quality and promptly reporting any issues.
Operate and secure boats, life jackets, and poolside equipment while maintaining proper storage and upkeep standards.
Provide attentive customer service by addressing guests’ poolside requests, organizing boat rides, and facilitating recreational activities with professionalism and a welcoming demeanor while ensuring clear and concise guidance throughout their experience.
Work collaboratively with lifeguards, recreation staff, and hotel management to effectively coordinate guest activities.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required, along with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in software development. Proficiency in Python, Java, or C++ is essential, and familiarity with databases like SQL or NoSQL is preferred. Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent teamwork skills are necessary for this role. The position involves designing, developing, and maintaining software applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring code quality through rigorous testing and debugging.
Strong swimming proficiency is required, with a preference for candidates holding lifeguard certification.
Prior experience in the operation of small boats or watercraft, with a focus on safety protocols, is required.
CPR and First Aid certification is strongly preferred for this position.
Candidates with prior experience in the hospitality industry, particularly in hotels, resorts, or recreational facilities, will be considered favorably.
Fluent in collaborating respectfully and courteously with guests from various cultural and social backgrounds.
