The position encompasses a wide range of essential duties and responsibilities designed to ensure operational excellence and team success. Produce high-caliber diagnostic images by meticulously positioning the transducer, attentively observing the display, interpreting signal outputs, fine-tuning beam strength and focus, identifying artifacts that may be mistaken for abnormalities, and documenting the captured images.

Conduct electrocardiograms (ECG’s), 2D echocardiograms, advanced echocardiographic studies, and stress echocardiograms to evaluate cardiac function and diagnose potential abnormalities.

Assist with performing dobutamine stress echocardiograms and contrast echocardiograms for both inpatients and outpatients.

Compose detailed Echocardiogram reports, which must subsequently receive verification and authorization from the supervising cardiologist.

Provide support to cardiologists during the execution of Trans-Esophageal Echocardiogram (TEE) procedures.

Promote patient care and comfort by thoroughly preparing patients for echocardiograms, which includes clearly explaining exam procedures, addressing inquiries, and offering ambulatory assistance.

Analyze and assess clinical data by generating precise measurements of heart wall thickness, chamber dimensions, and blood flow direction and velocity, then evaluate these findings against established normative values to support informed medical decision-making.

To uphold exam precision, meticulously review patients’ medical records for essential clinical details, such as medical history, laboratory results, and physician directives, while also gathering relevant information directly from patients. Additionally, cross-reference requisitions against physicians’ orders to confirm alignment and accuracy.

Facilitate patient safety through strict adherence to infection-control policies and protocols, while providing first aid and supporting the emergency team as needed.

To ensure quality assurance and control, execute preventive maintenance requirements by adhering to manufacturer guidelines, identifying and resolving malfunctions, coordinating repair services as needed, and managing equipment inventories efficiently.

Support efforts to enhance operational efficiency by strategically prioritizing, organizing, and scheduling patients scheduled for echocardiographic procedures, while also guaranteeing the prompt delivery of diagnostic reports.

Collaborate effectively with Biomedical Engineers to guarantee timely upkeep of all equipment.

Ensure meticulous documentation of all performed tests by accurately entering data into the computer system, designated report forms, and batch registers.

Maintain clear and consistent communication with all members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and high-quality patient care.

Engage in department-specific Continuing Education initiatives and contribute to the development and execution of quality control programs.

Collaborate with management to gather and oversee quality and performance metrics specific to the identified unit.

Engage in a variety of departmental initiatives, including public screenings for heart disease, medical camps, Heart Day activities, and professional conferences.

Candidates must fulfill the following essential criteria: a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, at least three years of professional experience in [industry/role], proficiency in [specific software/tools], and strong communication skills. Possession of a current and valid Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is required.
