JOB PURPOSE
The Research Officer will oversee the recruitment and enrollment of participants for the study within designated healthcare facilities in Nairobi County. This role will involve direct reporting to the Study Coordinator.
The incumbent will be responsible for executing a range of specialized duties, including but not limited to project coordination, data analysis, and stakeholder communication. Key tasks involve monitoring workflow progress, preparing detailed reports, and ensuring adherence to established protocols and deadlines. Additionally, the role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to align efforts with organizational objectives while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and efficiency. Proficiency in relevant software tools, strong analytical skills, and attention to detail are essential for success in this position.
Screening, recruiting, and enrolling participants who meet the eligibility criteria in accordance with the study’s established guidelines.
Gather information in adherence to established Standard Operating Procedures, ensuring consistency and compliance with approved methodologies.
Data was entered into the Redcap system on Android tablets.
Ensure the integrity, completeness, and secure management of collected data, adhering strictly to study-specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and principles of good clinical practice.
Ensure adherence to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) practices and confidentiality protocols.
Compose daily clinic summaries detailing the screened and enrolled study participants.
To guarantee study participants receive the correct interventions and procedures.
Ensure that all study participants adhere strictly to the prescribed study protocols and procedures.
Demonstrate a thorough comprehension of the study’s standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure adherence to established protocols and regulatory requirements.
At all times throughout the study procedures, adherence to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) must be maintained to ensure full compliance.
Impart comprehensive training to the facility staff in the PM+ system to ensure proficient operation and adherence to established protocols.
Twice each week, comprehensive reports detailing recruitment and enrollment progress in the study must be submitted to the Study Coordinator.
Monthly, accurately complete data capture forms to record adjustments in study strategies.

Candidates should demonstrate advanced proficiency in utilizing REDCAP for data collection purposes.
Proficiency in the study area, specifically Nairobi County, is a prerequisite for this role.
The candidate must possess strong proficiency in computer applications, with a keen ability to navigate various software platforms efficiently. Demonstrated expertise in utilizing digital tools and systems is essential to perform tasks accurately and effectively.
Certified in Good Clinical Practice and Human Subjects Protection, the candidate must possess a valid credential valid for at least 48 months from the date of this advertisement.
Strong interpersonal and communication abilities are required, including the capacity to maintain consistent correspondence with the study coordinator through email and Zoom.
Collaborative professional capable of effectively engaging and cooperating with fellow study personnel at the site.
