More precisely, your responsibilities will include:

Enhance the end-to-end security of our Cloud and network infrastructure specifically within the Mesa operations to mitigate risks and safeguard critical assets.

Provide cloud security and network architecture support across all projects.

Develop High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs), establish standardized templates, and modularize as well as industrialize configuration items and their implementation.

Deploy infrastructure in the cloud and on-premises networks that are purpose-built and fully optimized, with a deep comprehension of how our services and applications interact with and traverse the underlying network layers—ensuring adequate capacity, capability, and resource utilization throughout.

Design and deploy automated solutions for network-related controls throughout the enterprise, covering both cloud-based and on-premises environments.

Develop and deploy advanced cybersecurity strategies, including Artificial Intelligence-driven solutions, Zero Trust architecture, and other cutting-edge approaches to fortify Network Security.

Proficient in leveraging Azure security services, including Identity and Access Management (IAM), Security Groups, Virtual Private Clouds (VPC), Web Application Firewalls (WAS), and related solutions.

Proven expertise in Cloud Security Operations, Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM), and Cloud Workload Protection.

Proficient in shared responsibility models within cloud environments, as well as Privileged Access Management and Cloud Threat Prevention on the Azure Cloud platform.

Ensures comprehensive network documentation for both cloud-based and on-premises environments.

Ensures network harmonization and standardization across the region, local market, and cloud environments.

Serving as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) in Cybersecurity for one African market while also acting as a backup SPOC for another, you will provide support in addressing vulnerabilities, implementing patches, and reinforcing system security measures.

Responsibilities include the ongoing maintenance and technical support of a range of cybersecurity systems, such as Firewalls, Web Application Firewalls (WAS), Antivirus solutions, Logging platforms, and both Network and Host-based Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS).

Investigate and resolve Level 1, 2, and 3 issues adversely affecting Cybersecurity operations to ensure system integrity and operational continuity.

Facilitate the implementation, management, and continuous enhancement of cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures to ensure robust protection and compliance across the organization.

Deliver assistance in identifying and addressing cybersecurity incidents to mitigate potential threats and vulnerabilities.

Set the benchmark for excellence in cybersecurity by implementing and upholding strategic initiatives to achieve organizational goals.

Execute measures to mitigate Marine Protected Area (MPA) risks and conduct both internal and external audits and reviews.

The enhancement of the company’s cybersecurity framework will be achieved through a series of strategic initiatives, encompassing Cybersecurity Baselines and other related measures.

Drives measurable business value through strategic initiatives and operational improvements, directly enhancing performance metrics and contributing to organizational growth objectives. Identifies opportunities for efficiency gains, cost reduction, and revenue enhancement, while aligning actions with long-term business strategies. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to implement solutions that optimize processes, elevate productivity, and strengthen competitive positioning. Ensures decisions and actions consistently support the company’s mission, vision, and financial targets.

Optimize the Operational & Monitoring cybersecurity baselines (CSB) controls by coordinating their implementation across all relevant business areas and processes linked to Network Security within the MPA framework.

Develop and deploy robust network security protocols to safeguard critical data, software applications, and hardware infrastructure against unauthorized access or threats.

Monitor network traffic vigilantly to identify any anomalies or suspicious behavior, promptly addressing any detected security breaches to mitigate potential risks and ensure system integrity.

Perform routine security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify potential risks in perimeter security and network-related vulnerabilities, including unsecured ports.

Formulate, implement, and maintain robust security policies and procedures to safeguard organizational assets and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Partner with IT and various departments to establish robust, organization-wide security protocols and safeguards.

Monitor emerging developments in security trends, threats, and technological innovations to maintain current knowledge.

Deliver training sessions and facilitate knowledge-sharing initiatives to educate staff on best practices in network security, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and understanding maintaining a secure network environment.

Provide comprehensive support for internal and external audits pertaining to Technology systems and processes, guaranteeing these systems remain free from any unresolved audit findings. Additionally, ensure all identified audit findings within these systems are addressed and closed promptly, in accordance with mutually agreed-upon deadlines.

We engage with a diverse range of stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and third-party partners, to ensure seamless collaboration and operational efficiency. This role requires building and maintaining strong relationships with these groups to facilitate smooth transactions and resolve any issues that may arise. Key responsibilities include clear communication, negotiation, and problem-solving to meet the needs of all parties involved while upholding company standards and fostering long-term partnerships.

To maintain adherence to statutory, regulatory, and key stakeholder mandates within the Technology domains.

Ensures adherence to the Cybersecurity managed services agreement by monitoring compliance with the established Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to verify alignment with contractual obligations.

We provide assistance in validating, ensuring timely completion, and verifying the accuracy of Technology audit checklists and user access rights reviews.

The role encompasses the organization and management of analytical procedures and incident response protocols.

Ensure strict adherence to established implementation and change management protocols for all scheduled and unplanned modifications within Technology systems.

Assist in the development and implementation of Security and Privacy by Design Assurance (SODA) frameworks aligned with GDPR and organizational requirements.

Regularly assess and enforce security policies and controls to align with evolving business needs and shifting security environments.

Develop and implement an analytics infrastructure and tool set to ensure comprehensive data collection, processing, and reporting capabilities.

Continuously enhance cybersecurity processes by streamlining critical workflows and eliminating inefficiencies to foster ongoing improvement.

Facilitate internal and external service review meetings to evaluate performance metrics, service enhancements, quality standards, and operational processes.

Develop strategic recommendations to enhance Cybersecurity service improvement initiatives and oversee the execution of these actions until their successful completion within designated timeframes.

Facilitate information security awareness and training initiatives for all MPA users as well as third-party vendors.

Plans and executes driving incident and emergency communication strategies for both internal and external stakeholders.

Seeking a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, complemented by at least three years of experience in software development. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ is required, along with experience with databases and cloud platforms. Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the capacity to work collaboratively in a team environment are essential. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining software applications, troubleshooting technical issues, and contributing to system architecture decisions.

Hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a comparable field within the technology discipline.

Demonstrated success in a senior specialist capacity focused on network security or a related discipline is required.

Proven expertise in network protocols, firewall systems, VPN technologies, and security solutions is required.

A valid professional network security certification is required, such as Compton Security+ or CCNA Security.

Proven expertise in Network Security is essential for this role.

A minimum of five years of hands-on experience in Network Security is required, with expertise in Intrusion Prevention Systems, Web Application Firewalls, VPN administration, Content Filters, and Security Scanning tools.

A minimum of two years of dedicated experience in implementing and maintaining Network Security Solutions is required.
